Wow, no wonder they've shot up to $80 on ebay. Speaking of posters. Does anyone know where I can get the International poster for TDK with the Joker's back facing and looking down the street? I want that poster pretty badly but can't seem to find it, even on ebay.

Maybe old news but apparently all the theatres are recalling the "Why so serious" posters. I'm having to ship the one I claimed back today. :(

Damn. That sucks. I would love to have one too. I wore it as my facebook pic for a bit when it was first revealed.

I think it is a mistake to recall those posters. The guy would have been proud of his involvement and his performance. It seems like he put a lot into that role and I think it is a shame to be compromising in any way the last major work that he devoted himself to.

I just saw that on The E network.

when a brillant actor like DDL take the time from a interview and cry on camera about how great you are and not knowing you. You did something special. This is the equivalent of tom hanks dying around the time of big and philadelphia. Heath ledger acting was something special. :(
Yeah. If he died around the time of say A Knight's Tale and 10 Things I Hate About You (both fun movies of course) it would't be like this. But the fact he was literally on the cusp of becoming one of the best A-list actors in hollywood is what makes it so shocking.

Yeah, and the Joker is the main central force of that movie. Putting it back on Batman is kind of meh...

Not really, the movie is still very much about Batman, they titled it "The Dark Knight" for a reason and the arc of all three films is very much focused on Batman as a character. Hell, the Joker isn't even The Dark Knights central villain, from what Nolan and others have said the main villain arc is really about Two Face.

precisely

i mean if you look at all the movies he made in the last two to three years or so:

the brothers grimm
brokeback mountain
casanova
candy
Im not there
The dark knight
The imagination of Doctor Parnassus

thats an awesome resume, and not to mention that he was in the mitts of directing an Ellen page movie. This is so unsettling. :(

I thought 12 Monkeys was okay at best. I didn't hate it but I probably wouldn't watch it again.
You can't hate Holy Grail though.

And Brazil doesn't actually suck. I just don't like it. But some people think it's a top 20 greatest film ever.

The fact of the matter is that there's nothing wrong with making jokes about his death.

People have the right to and no one should be shocked to hear shock jocks talk about his death in this fashion.

But this isn't Opie & Anthony. It's a fucking host of a news channel program and he said "I guess he found out how to quit you."

And the other fact of the matter is that being a big fan of O&A, I heard every break they did on Heath's death. They made fun of the media surrounding it, 90% of the time, with maybe one small passing comment that was made directly towards his death.

It's disgusting that this douchebag is probably one of the many in the media that said O&A should have been fired for certain things that got them in the news, for being "depraved" and "morally wrong", yet this asshole is WORSE than anything O&A or Stern or anyone else has or would have said about it.

He's a fucking shock jock that somehow gets an actual news show.

I mean first of all, that's a fucking hack joke anyway. HOW WITTY AND ORIGINAL.

But he called him a weirdo for thinking about death? How fucking dumb is this piece of shit? In the CONTEXT Heath spoke of death, it was completely healthy and human.

Hey gang, I know several people who actually work with John Gibson. He's not smart enough to be a shock jock or anything - he's just honestly really fucking stupid and sometimes he appears dumber than usual. This was one of those times. I'm not saying forgive him or anything, but the guy barely has the intellectual capacity to comprehend half the shit he talks about.

Found this on youtube. John Gibson's apology about his comments. One of the worst, scripted apologies I've seen. How is this taking any responsibility?

jesus christ, i'm...i'm fucking speechless.

I think joe scarborough pretty much said everything anybody with a brain thinks anyway. More news establishments needs to pick this shit up.

And another thing, holy shit at John Gibson being a complete fucking racist in the previous youtube clip. HOLY MOTHER FUCKING SHIT. o_O

Using a dead guy for advertising is seen as bad taste in the eyes of the constantly pissed off
Exactly. It is not in good taste to use a dead man to sell tickets. All advertising will pretty much focus on Bale like it was for Batman Begins. Using Heath to make money just feels...off.

Did he or did he not make the movie? Would he want this to happen? Hell should they just edit the Joker out of the movie?

Why is he getting buried in Australia though? Is his family still based there?

Er...because it's his place of birth, he grew up there, his family are all over there, he loved Australia. Pretty fucking obvious.

two words have never been more appropriate.

too soon.

I agree with you completely. He would definitely want the marketing to continue on, his life celebrated, and Jokers to go up everywhere in the world. But the fact remains that there are many people close in his life that are trying to understand and cope with this. To try and do that in the midst of a massive marketing campaign centered around the very person who died is just, well... not fair to them sort of. And remember, as far as it's looking like, we aren't talking about someone who committed suicide or ODed. This is someone who died in a tragic accident, not through a selfish act.

With all of that being said, I think once Warner is given the blessing of his family they will resume with the Why So Serious campaign. As you and many others are saying, there is no reason not to eventually. Just right now it may be a little too soon.

Yeah, I think Warner Bros. is going about this the right way for the time being. I'm sure as it gets closer to the summer we'll see an emphasized push for the Joker character, but right now it just seem insensitive to those still trying to cope with this.

Well, Christopher Plummer confirms he had been under the weather with some kind of "bug" the last few days/weeks, while filming in London.

3 page interview, this is the very first question and answer

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: It seems incomprehensible.

CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER: We're all a bit befuddled at the moment. It's so sad. Heath did have a terrible, lingering bug in London, and he couldn't sleep at all. We all — I thought he'd probably got walking pneumonia, which they seem to think he had. Of course I don't really know, but that's the latest.

Gexecuter said:
tmz and others news sources reported pneumonia. But it could just be a sickness, like tamanon said, there wasn't any fluid in his lungs. So perhaps it could be a bad mix of sleeping pills, which actually would make sense.
