Care to explain then?

You've created this "Sony America" character that doesn't exist.

Sony's studios are run largely independently and it's always been that way. Sony gives studios pretty extreme leeway and developers have always mentioned this in their interviews.

You're so focused on culture war stuff that you have to make up an entirely fictional org structure and pretend that Sony's development teams aren't handled the same way internationally.

The amount of people who talk about Concord but never played it is fascinating. I've never in my entire life as a gamer seen more people focus on a game they never played than this one game and to try to attach every other game out of the US to Concord.

Let's see, California SIE's involvement on Japanese/Asian production (and European for that matter) is, at most, trivial.
Every regional branch (America, Europe, Japan/Asia) has its own set of producers that do the heavy lifting regarding game production.
The biggest American influence you will get to see if From gets acquired is Scott Rodhe handling global internal production, and you know? He wasn't even involved in Concord; that was by head of global external production, John Rostron (a British man), who also oversaw Stellar Blade, which I think proves enough that their involvement doesn't really change much in the grand scheme of things.
Sorry, but this Sony California that's going to destroy your games is nothing more than a boogeyman.

Sony Japan (and Asia) allow games like Stellar Blade and DoAX. There is absolutely nothing to worry about. FFVII Remakes have very sexy designs for its women too. Japan/Asia just doesn't give a fuck.

The problems exist with games specifically developed in the west and namely the US. For example its studios like Naughty Dog who are run by woke fucks like Cuckmann.

This is why I barely play games developed in the west anymore. I even can't remember the last. There are really good games out there, without much pandering. Just this year you can play FFVII R, Wukong, Stellar Blade, Shadow of the Ninja, Metaphor, Silent Hill 2 (western developed remake in collab with Japan), Like a Dragon on PS5.

Firewalk wasn't even in California... They were in Washington.

Sony owning medias like Famitsu, great idea.

I doubt Sony will keep Famitsu. It's clear that Sony doesn't want all of Kadokawa, but if that's what it takes to get them, Sony will do it and then just spin off or sell off the businesses that they don't want. That to me is the more likely outcome that Sony actually absorbing all of Kadokawa's subsidiaries.

It's odd seeing people cheer for M&A like a sports team. Unless you're a significant shareholder, it's almost always bad for the consumer.

You don't have to be a significant shareholder. If you hold $5K worth of Kadokawa shares and Sony is going to pay 2x premium to acquire Kadokawa, your $5K gets turned into $10K. That's a lot of money for the average retail investor.

Also, it's not odd at all for people to be cheering for this. If you understand the idea of people cheering for their favorite sports teams, this is the same thing except with brands. People cheer for brands that they like just like they cheer for their favorite sports teams. It's the basic tribalistic tendencies of human psychology.

Oh yeah, Famitsu is published by Kadokawa Game Linkage, which I don't see fitting in any Sony operation, so it should be pretty easy to sell them around.
