I feel like some of these look bad because they had work done with their makeup in mind (i.e. bigger lips, shaved/dyed eyebrows so they can paint them on). The don't have a "normal" face anymore and, as such, don't look like we expect them to. Others look bad because they used Photoshop and changed up the color balance or maybe even on camera settings. You can tell by the way the background tones themselves change.

Also, a lot of the girls look more than fine in the first place.

I notice a lot quoting this but to be fair, Proxy Paige tends to look a lot closer to the "no make-up" pic in her scenes. Actually, I've never really seen her all colored up like that.

I think that most of the girls that are pretty in their before pics are also pretty in the after ones. Only a few stand out as really misleading.

I feel like the fact that they are porn stars is kind of irrelevant, I think that most people would have a similar contrast if you poured so much paint on them. The before pics look like how I see women on public transport all the time, the after pics look like, well, porn stars.

Anyway, it's interesting how the make-up industry ruined the image of your ordinary women to the point men are shocked to see women without any make-up, with not-so-perfect skin, bags under eyes, no eyeliners etc. While men can look rough and scruffy, and very often still are view as sexy-looking, women are expected to have that smooth, perfect look.
