YO YOU CAN DROP A COUNTER AND ACTIVE SWITCH?
GODDAMN THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE DIRTY
I would be kinda disappointed if it wasn't.
YO YOU CAN DROP A COUNTER AND ACTIVE SWITCH?
GODDAMN THIS GAME IS GOING TO BE DIRTY
From a total casual fighting player, the real thing that makes me hyped for DBZ and not this, is how incredible is the presentation in DBZ is compared to this. The energy effects, the smoke and how the fights actually look like 2 incredible powerful beings fighting, with all the destruction, finishers and backgrounds that actually are affected by the fight.
I don't know which one will be better in terms of mechanics, but when I watch a DBZ match I'm in constant awe, when I was this is like "Oh, is just another Capcom fighting game".
This just looks...drab? I guess that's the word.

I'm going to have issues picking a team, that's for sure. Captain Marvel is dope, and Nova is really dope too. I'm also enjoying Chun a lot from the demo, and I love me some Spidey... Argh. This game sounds sick as hell. Nova got hooked up.

this game look filthy, like in a way only Marvel could.
You guys are misunderstanding how the unblockables work in umvc3.
Hulk doesn't have one.
Fire brands unblockable works because it crosses up. While an assist is forcing you to block front firebrand actually hits you in the back.
No he wasn't LOL! He was one of the harder characters to play because of his bold canceling. Not to mention all those moves you had to keep track of like a Tekken game. They tried to make Dante easier to play yet he was already easy to play.
I'm also expecting them to fuck up the balance post-release but that's another story. It's a shame the presentation of this game is so lacking. It looks like it has the mechanics to back up a healthy competitive scene. It'd suck if it doesn't do so hot because capcom didn't put in the effort to shine it up.
Instead we're ending up with another Street Fighter 5 situation where the fundamentals of the game are rock solid but everything surrounding that is a huge bummer.

They have to reveal the Soul Gem last, then. That one's going to be incredibly hype.Every time they introduce a new gem I'm like "wow this is even more ridiculous than the last one"
Captain Marvel "Storm-lite"
Ultron "Fast flys like Sentinel"
Nova "Magneto-like"
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/151817125Is that stream you guys are hyped about archived? Just woke up![]()
Yup. And they'll fuck it up.Any post release balancing for a marvel game would be an entirely new phenomenon.
Yipes trying his hardest to represent lmao. He like "aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" lol.
I fully expect 80% of the cast to be strong and 20% to be garbage tier. Even WITH the stones that every team can use.Marvel
Balanced
Hmm
If you got nothing out of this stream, at least understand that they are in-fact listening. They've brought up a lot of topics thats been weary in the community. So I have no doubt they full know the presentation of the game is lacking and will fix it.

EDIT: But you know what, that's my beef. If you guys enjoy it then go ahead.

If anything it's probably the opposite. 20% of the cast is strong and 80% is garbage. Well Marvel 3 wasn't that way but it was like that in older games like Marvel 2.I fully expect 80% of the cast to be strong and 20% to be garbage tier. Even WITH the stones that every team can use.

If SFV's esports-esque balancing is anything to go by then that's pretty much what's gonna happen to MvC:I.If anything it's probably the opposite. 20% of the cast is strong and 80% is garbage. Well Marvel 3 wasn't that way but it was like that in older games like Marvel 2.
I'm just pissed because they're gonna try to make this game an e-sport too and then they'll fuck up the balancing. Characters that are in a good place will be sent to the crematorium because of knee-jerk balancing.I mean, it depends. Having the gems could equalize things. But the balance rate for mos competitive titles is around that at some point. Shit, MVC3 was less than that. Unless you are system based like Tekken, it's an inevitability.

IF they do balance once every year then they're gonna be extremely heavy handed with nerfs and have both buffs and nerfs that make absolutely no sense.
But again, this is complaining about something that hasn't happened yet so we should just stick to discussing what's been shown on stream for now.

But again, let's jut discuss what was shown on stream for now.
The problem is that they've needed to do both things. It's great to make up for SFV's launch errors, but they went and ignored what SFV did well. All the fgc people crying about the single player story focus in trailers and demo and how it's killing your interest are funny. Now that they're showing the hardcore at a stream only watched by the hardcore yall get excited. I think capcom knows better then we've given them credit for with how they're marketing mvci. They don't need to sell the game to the hardcore fgc sheeple, they need to sell it to the scrub sheeple who get excited about cheese one liners and quips in a fighting game story mode.
Like what has been addressed?
Has it been addressed why there are no X Men characters so far?
What about how many characters are being released?
Why is the DLC system so predatory?
Why is the game releasing in September and not later when it can coincide with major tournaments? Or in the actual holiday season?
Why do some characters look the way they do?
Why does the UI look like a phone game?
Why does the game have a thick ass layer of Chromatic Aberration?
Where are these new modes and contents that you talked about before?
What about the netcode and online stuff?
Why is there no beta for this game like SFV and IJ2?
Why did they not also release a VS demo with training mode for this game?
Why has the communication between fans and Capcom so piss poor for this game?
Why do they go radio silent with the game in between months?
They didn't address shit son.

1. You know why... We all know why. Lets not bring this subject up. There was a ban. Lets not get amnesia here.
2. Why would they even bring this up right now? They havent even shown the whole roster.
3. Predatory? Thats an opinion bro, one thats not too valid at the moment because we are not even sure of whose in the main roser or how many.
4. I agree that does seem off, but thats something we would have to have more information on, such as when this project was even started.
5. Again, it hasnt been addressed YET. Which is why I said they will come around to it.
6. Again, this hasnt been addressed just yet.
7. You got me there buddy. lol
8. Give it time. THey still got plenty of events to reveal shit. You guys are EXTEMELY jumping the gun here.
9. More stuff to be discussed at a later day.
10. I mean you did get a demo... I wouldnt put out a beta either. Especially when players like me are abusing the shit out of the demo and getting prepared to have an upper hand when the game coems out.
11. (Read the last one)
12. You got me on this one again. But they do in fact see whats going on.
13. Because the sole thing you love for them to do is actually their job.
14. They addressed a lot. You didnt pay attention my brotha.
No he wasn't LOL! He was one of the harder characters to play because of his bold canceling. Not to mention all those moves you had to keep track of like a Tekken game.
You could always easily tell the difference between a decent Dante player and a very good Dante player.
Let me clarify and state for the record... that almost EVEYTHING we think we know is based off rumors... He said, she said...
So you basically just admitted that they didn't actually address shit.
Communication isn't the job of the dudes making the game, it's the job of the people in charge of the communication ie. PR. As far as I can tell, they are either not doing their job or they are doing a very bad job at it. It's possible to both work on the game and communicate with the fans.
As far as the ban goes, you don't expect Capcom to throw Marvel under the bus, right? The last company to directly address the ban (DeNA with Marvel Mighty Heroes), the game ended not too long afterwards. Now granted, DeNA addressing the Fox ban may not have been the main reason behind the game ending service, but it may have been one of them.So you basically just admitted that they didn't actually address shit.

Can anybody find an Ultron move/Input list?
Also I'd like to point out that Thor has a meter charge now
MvC:I certainly seems to be no less of an explosive game with no lack of ways for everyone to open people up but it's true, the game generally has much more options in terms of defense. Hell, the increased level of mobility in super jumps alone helps a lot of characters.Nah it's something to talk about. If anything, being an e-sport means it has to be more balanced than before. Like, as I said before, there's two types of balancing - technical and feeling. If a game is both, then people are happy. SFV's problem is that it lacks defense, so while tiers are close (besides the lowest dudes, poor FANG), the explosive nature makes it REALLY hard to feel like it is. You can fuck up a Rog but if I'm getting hit by stupid shit like tap, it doesn't matter how technically fair it is.
With this game, they have a ton of defensive options already. Pushblock, character mechanics like Cap's counter, pushing out during tag combos, etc. So at least you have ways, both technical and in the department of feeling, to address balance concerns.
Most Marvel games really didn't give a shit. This looks like the first time they might care. 2 sure in the fuck wasn't balanced and people hold that in high regard.
Stop it or I'll post pictures of SFV Ken with MvC:I Chun-Li's face.People keep saying they want Capcom to be more like NRS.
ay-oooo
