Pretty much a different character, but similar specials to UMVC3. However, they'll mostly different inputs now, and his combo structure is totally changed.

Quick impressions.

The gameplay in the Story demo was fun, but since it was limited and the story sequences looked so rough, I was fairly depressed at the end of last night's stream. Really wasn't feeling the game.

The 1v1 demo's visuals (at least on the E3 TV's) do look better. This is not the case for the character model/faces. They still look very rough outside of Cpt Marvel/Strider and a couple others who look good. The lighting and overall visuals appear to be more refined in the 1v1 build, especially seeing Thanos/Iron Man or shiny ass characters on that desert stage looked great. The hitsparks also look pretty awesome and different than marvel 3, some cool particles. The game itself, when finally playing against humans, is legit fun. The system allows for some crazy shit, and defense will be tough as you'll be getting opened up constantly via the tag system (take this as a compliment or otherwise). The game really shows it's scars after the match is over, or during cinematic supers when it dives into a close shot of a character model and face, and you're reminded how rough they look.

They're very lucky the game is fun as hell, at least this early on, because the artstyle and many other artistic choices are very questionable. This is almost a repeat situation of KOF14. Fun as hell gameplay, weak character models/lighting at release.

Bionic Arm being as good as MvC3 would be super annoying with the free flowing tag system. Can't imagine the amount of free mixups Bionic Arm + Tag would give per match.

Bionic Arm is a single hit so it wouldn't be good for tag out mix-ups at all. Not like something that stays active forever like Dante's Million Dollars.

Venom's a veteran, so he may be Day 1. And Ghost Rider could be DLC if they go with Robbie Reyes (like the MCU). If they port over Johnny Blaze, then he'll likely be Day 1.

MVC3 Dante is probably the coolest designed fighting game character ever made.

Even his simple slashes look much cooler in 3 than in Infinite.

What's tricky is that the .zip leak has several characters not on Ryce's list and not confirmed as dlc or at launch (which would conflict with Ryce leak) yet as of this time.
