This is a solid prediction and well thought out.

You know Sony if they're smart are avoiding a fall release, even winter seems kind of suspect. I'd probably delay a game like Ghost to January or February and give it more time to cook.

I'd also suggest, we should see something from Wolverine too, but at that point you're in showcase territory rather than state of play. You might already be there to be honest.

When you throw in MLB The Show and Marathon..., maybe even Fairgames... it's crazy how bad Sony is at this.

and everyone thinking MGS, Ghost and DS2 will be there makes me think 1 or 2 won't be there. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, but it seems like one of the sure thing games is always absent from these.
If I was betting, I'd say DS2 is the no show. MGS got put on the store and people need to see more ghost, with the social media crap and AC shadows out there.

When Steam launches a Steam OS machine for the living room, both Microsoft and Sony will realize that they both destroyed themselves by looking at eachother. Nintendo in the meantime will be the steady factor it always was, but Steam and Nintendo is the future.

Sony and Microsoft have to change in order to succeed. If Steam goes into the living room, they have a huge, huge problem. Especially when games on Steam are so much cheaper and gamers have the biggest library ever.

As someone who recently shifted from PC gaming to PS5 due to insane GPU prices, Steam releasing a console would make a lot of sense... Especially after the success of the Steam Deck...

I've always owned consoles but 2024 was the first time in about 25 years that I decided to not upgrade my PC and use a console as a mean gaming device.

I don't miss Steam but I kind of miss all the games I have on there and the grey market prices. I don't like what Steam has been doing with account levelling and those trading cards. But I definitely see how a Steam console could disturb the current status quo.
