I already read The Martian this weekend and it was really funny and witty, loved it. I really hope they don't get rid of the silly jokes in the film.

My iPad Mini 1 is showing it's age, so I picked this up Saturday as a potential replacement, at least temporarily.

I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised. By the tablet and Windows 10, not by the abhorrent Windows App selection.

Oh Markman, you're OP is epic as always.

Last week was my birthday week, so I picked up a present for myself. Which is kind of rare for something this big.

No volume 2? :)

I've actually seen several people just get R-Type I, and not get II. Why is that? (I got R-Type CD myself.)
They only had I. I traded in some NES controllers (I still have a surplus of those) and this as pretty much the only affordable game I wanted they had. I definitely want II as well, but it's not too expensive from what I can see so I'll definitely grab that in the future.

Yeah, I know I'm late... Even the guy working at Best Buy said so. lol

It was only $15.99 brand new. I figured I could get to level 30 before August 31st to get the exclusive commemorative digital items.

My old PC was from 2009, so about time. :p

I'm really liking the direction Square Enix is going as of late so I got some portable rpg goodness from them.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood finally complete. Probably had something to do with DIO why it took so long to come out.

Also got the game and Blu-rays, will have to wait till next time.

New headphones. Grado SR80e.
Lovely pair. Great sound, very comfy. They don't isolate any sound at all, so no using them in the library :(
Edit: Re-uploaded images.

Is this good? I bought the first two and stopped reading in the middle of the 2nd one. It was an insanely long fight scene up to the point I gave up.

Your images don't work but I have those and they're bloody lovely. Enjoy!

Here's me so far, might be all my August physical purchases as there's nothing else of interest on the horizon. Does the forum software automatically recognise the item and post the .gif yet or does someone have to do it for me?

Since ordering and doing some reading here in the board game thread I started to pick up some games with good reviews. Most of them are really fun to play with my 5yr old daughter and wife. I feel like most of these teach her something (that dad is ass at games without controllers)

I don't really buy blu rays anymore, but I still needed the 30th anniversary edition. Got it pretty cheap too.

I also get promo copies of games sometimes that only come in little cd cases and not having a proper box with art bugs me so I found a guy on eBay selling print outs. Very high quality.

Could you perhaps give me the link to the seller? I have a few PS4 promos too and I've had no luck in finding one who sells cover art.

Man I hate that too. I get review copies from Sony and they are always in a clear plastic case. Annoys the hell out of me.

Can you send me the link?

Can´t justify a PS4 or Xbox1, so finally picked up a secondhand PS3 with a bunch of games. Got a great deal on a barely used Logitech wheel too.

Not gaming related this month, but I sold a few of my other "practice amps" and got another "practice amp".

Vox AC4C1 in British Racing Green. Sounds great at bedroom volumes and really opens up with volume....really fun amp that takes pedals well.

Pictured with my Fender Classic 60's Tele.
