Its very likely that this thread will have spoilers.

These were released today. I'm glad how true they are staying to the game. I think this HBO series has been the best video game adaptation.

She still looks like a kid here compared to the 10-year-older-looking Jesse.

It's the unfortunate reality of putting out a new season in 2 years when the actual game had a 5+ year difference.

I don't think a few more years would do anything to them. These actors are older than the characters they are playing anyway. They all got baby faces. Probably for the best so they don't look much older than Bella and make certain scenes look... inappropriate.

I find it odd that Tati Gabrielle is in Uncharted, Last of Us and now Intergalactic. Someone decided on this and I can’t see the same Casting Director for the TV show, Film, and Videogame. Given her most prominent role was likely from Netflix’s Sabrina, I’m curious as to why someone is pulling the strings to cast her in Naught Dog IPs.

I have no issues with the actress or her roles, just curious as to the reason someone is seemingly going to bat for her.

I hope that they have more infected in the second season. That was my main complaint about season 1. Especially when they showed you just how terrifying it can be when all hell breaks loose. I like what I see though.

When i look at tommy in the show i don't see a badass that is mowing bodies down and leaving destruction in his wake. The actor they got looks too skinny and scrawny to come off as the badass necessary to be tommy.

Ramsay did a great job acting in season 1 but she physically wasn’t a good casting choice. I can see why they did it though, coming off GoT where she got a lot of praise.

Girl look too young to be Ellie in part 2. Still looks like part 1 Ellie.

Abby not being a butch will make her character much more relatable. It could have actually saved the game.

It is hard enough to believe Ellie going around killing all these muscular men, imagine if they got a real life Abby and had her fight this character as Ellie on screen. It would look like Hulk Hogan beating up a baby. They had to make Dina and Abby look young as they possibly could be so they don't outclass Ellie in a fight or make a relationship seem wildly inappropriate.

I guess they just don't want to recast Ellie, but dang she still looks like a kid. In TLOU2 Ellie was young but wasn't no kid.

The reason for Abbie to be "normal" is obvious. You can't let her fight with Ellie without destroying any suspension of disbelief. So, her skillset must be different, too. They will have to make major changes to the series.

It would be nice if, unlike the game, somebody told us why everyone stopped caring about the cure, more so the fucking daughter of the only skilled doctor in the whole USA.

I watched Season 1 with my wife. Thought it was alright, my main issue is that it didn't spend nearly enough time with Joel and Ellie and developing their relationship. In the game you can understand why Joel picks the nuclear option, but not so much in the show. Anyway I got no interest in Season 2, but it will be interesting to see where it's viewership trends after Joel bites it.

It also helps that this version of Joel is a quarter of the killer than game Joel was.

Since it's based on the game, I'm going with less infected. The game has like three infected encounters.

Seriously tho I can't get over how ugly Ellie is in the series.

Are you trolling or just been a while since playing? The game is twice the length of the first game and has at least 12 encounters with infected based off me checking. Also the number of infected in these stages is much more than the first game.

I actually finished the game last week and I felt there was waaay more encounters with humans than infected. I was super disappointed with that ... And the story... And the pacing...

Well when you have a militia military in seattle, and the game takes place in seattle, it seems more likely it would be more cleaned out
