Actually, I’ve been very much in the line of thinking that, since that drop the other day, Xbox are making all the right moves. I was the first, or at least one of the first, to bring up that they (MS) aren’t being truthful fully with regard to rdna (with it not being 2 exactly but more so 1 with bolted on feature to suit), and how they have left out some key areas. Oh and I think I’ve posted more than anybody else about how utterly stupid the 9.2 talk is. But of course, people have selective reading.

I do not think for a moment that the PS5 will be less than approximately 13 Tflops.

First of all, the X Box One X is approximately 6 Tflops. Sony would not build a console that wasn't at least twice as powerful as their closest competition.

Secondly, the PS4 Pro has 4.2 Tflops. If you multiply this times three you get 12.6 Tflops. I believe that it would be ridiculous only to go to 12 Tflops and not go a little further so that the marketing team can say that the PS5 has three times the Tflops of the PS4 Pro. Since Sony now knows that MS is going to have at least 12 Tflops in their upcoming console, I also believe that Sony will try to surpass it to greatest extent they can without having to push their chip into a frequency range that will produce a massive amount of heat. I actually expect the PS5 to be at least 13 Tflops and possibly up to 14.

I would not consider purchasing any console that wasn't at least twice the power of the XBox One X.

An 11Tflops PS5 would in fact be at a 10% difference to the XSX. But it wouldn't be equivalent to 13.8 GCN so odium's theory goes to ground.

Again using the 5700XT (peak of 9.7Tfops) vs Radeon VII (peak of 13.44Tflops) comparison even though it's not the best way of doing things. They are pretty similar in performance.

A 11TF PS5 would cleaning the Floor with a Radeon VII
