by this logic PS4 already should've costed 500 bucks and it wouldn't been overpriced. But still, it got sweet 399 price tag and Sony finally returned to the mean in terms of console success. Maximum what they will do is raise price of console by 100 bucks and subsidy DE while maximizing software selling profits.

If Sony had put their TVs 4K scaler in, its games would be 1080p 4K scaled and Xbox series S would be a hard sell as it would be a 600p console. How much power lost with resolution, thats why Nvidia's DLSS is so exciting.

That is the reason Xbox One S always sold more than Xbox Series X excluding the launch month for X (and even that month maybe S sold more).

Wasn't there a developer that was complaining about working with multiple hardware configurations? I believe this was around the time when they were talking about the X1 holding the XSX back and Digital Foundry was involved in the conversation I believe.

People are still buying and Xbox but some of them would have gotten a Series X instead of a Series S if it wasn't an option. Microsoft doesn't care in the end because it's still an Xbox.
