I can't see anything lolMore FH5 ingame shots (no HUD) from XSX Performance mode:
You can clearly see the aliasing being more prominent compared to Quality mode/PC on higher settings.
I can't see anything lol
This one looks nice, but it looks like a Star Wars starfighter interior lol.
FH5 interior looks like toys. And here is the cockpit comparison, this was the only place in both games that the lighting was the closest. I will post some other screenshots of cockpit view in other lighting conditions from both games that do both games more justice. But man its hard to get the lighting matched in Forza Horizon 5 because of the lack of tod setting/control. Literally waited 20min to get the tod as close as possible. And this is not even the best lighting condition of both games but this will do it. For the cockpit view my choose would be 80% of the time the cockpits in GT7 just because of the better shaders and more finer detail. Both games had car models with better polygons than each other but GT7 had 90% of the time better materials and finer detail so i choose GT7 for the interiors.
Lexus RC F
Ferrari Laferarri
Ford GT

Here is even more evident. And here are the best of Forza Horizon 5 that show one of the better interiors
Are you looking on mobile? If not open the pic in full screen… it will be even more evident if your monitor is 4k.I can't see anything lol
The game use that LOD for ingame car model even in performance mode (native 4K and 60 fps) on a Series X:

This is the best graphics in a car game I've ever seen. Hands down.
Great shots fella and exactly how I see the game when I‘m playing, which hopefully gives a better understanding to those wondering why I seem to be more enamoured by GT7s visuals. The way the materials react to the lighting, the natural colours and shadowing, gives the game a greater sense of realism. PD have also massively improved the sense of speed by the use of motion blur. I’d say both games are top in their current class, visually, for different reasons. And here are the best of GT7 that show some impressive lighting and material shaders
All gameplay btw
Tons of edges more visible on GT shots. FH5 higher poly or GT doesn't know to use some tessellation? And here is the cockpit comparison, this was the only place in both games that the lighting was the closest. With these shots, there is an obvious problem with FH5 and it's those mirror reflection, they are clearly overdone. I have around 150 hours in the game and it really bothers me.And here are the best of Forza Horizon 5 that show one of the better interiors
One thing to consider is that you can move your head around in the GT7 cockpit, however, it is a static view in FH5.Tons of edges more visible on GT shots. FH5 higher poly or GT doesn't know to use some tessellation?
You watching in a small screen. Watch in a proper high res screen.Tons of edges more visible on GT shots. FH5 higher poly or GT doesn't know to use some tessellation?
You absolutely can get paint as reflective

Erm, no it’s not. You’ve obviously never played it.One thing to consider is that you can move your head around in the GT7 cockpit, however, it is a static view in FH5.
There are some AC + CSP shots:
I think Turk1993 is about the only guy you can trust in this forum. He plays all the games, and has no obvious affiliation or agenda. Other folk can’t see past their own console (it’s funny seeing all the old names resurface with this thread’s resurrection).
I’m personally not a big sim fan, but I do like a good looking car game, and I think they all look great these days!
Lol. Bigger screen made the edges bigger. You watching in a small screen. Watch in a proper high res screen.
ACC cars are in another league.Part 2
These shots don't look that good to begin with imoMore FH5 ingame shots (no HUD) from XSX Performance mode:

It's the least sim, sim racer I've played in terms of accessibility. It has that perfect blend of pick up and play or spend time tweaking things. Don't write it off!Gran Turismo clearly wins graphically, but Horizon is more suited for me. I don't want to invest enough to get into a simulation racer.
Those look quite nice. What platform?Part 2
This is what im seeing lol i literally cannot see the pictureAre you looking on mobile? If not open the pic in full screen… it will be even more evident if your monitor is 4k.
There is no way to not see the aliasing on back that is the easiest to spot.
Nvm ...PC no way will ps5 look close to thatThose look quite nice. What platform?
And not only that, there's also a dynamic camera called "drift camera" in FH5 (also in FH4 btw), but it's not enabled by default. It's not only for drifting, I'd say it's almost mandatory for normal racing as well, it's awesome. There are a lot of parameters for it so just tune it to your liking. You can freely move left and right in cockpit view during gameplay.
It their ForzaTech engine it also use on Flight Simulator 2020 and it looks great.GT7’s lights and materials look better - everything else is forza probably - but the lights and materials look amazing how do they do that makes it look super real
Are you mixing up the games then?Lol. Bigger screen made the edges bigger.
Am I?Are you mixing up the games then?
Forza Motorsport 7 was so underrated. on PC Ultra it looks amazing for 2017 game and races easily with competitors.

Gt physics shits all over forza and its not even funnyDat shadows casting on Forza. Lol at the classic potato physics extra simcade of GT.
Especially the collision physics like in the video, right?Gt physics shits all over forza and its not even funny
