I wonder why they don't just use a proper D-Pad.
Due to coop play by sharing a joycon.I wonder why they don't just use a proper D-Pad.
Switch 2U
Each JoyCon has to work as separate controllers for multiplayer.I wonder why they don't just use a proper D-Pad.
At least the Pro Controller has a proper D-pad.Each JoyCon has to work as separate controllers for multiplayer.
It is strange that they’ve never made different optional models for people to buy though.
They could use the d-pad as buttons probably much more successfully than the buttons are used as a d-pad though. Probably just a symmetry thing. Sadly.Because of the joycon design. Second player needs those 4 buttons too
But you could press two different directions like left and right at the same time with one joycon and not with the other.they could use the d-pad as buttons probably more successfully than the buttons are used as d-pad though.
No 2, this will be called Nintendo Switch. You thought Wii U confused people? Nintendo: hold our beer!Hey, they missed the 2!
Oh... Right. I missed that, lol. Didn't think anyone would play fighting games like that which are more likely to need a combination like B + X or A + Y but I suppose they do.But you could press two different directions like left and right at the same time with one joycon and not with the other.
They will probably release a smaller sku also.I get that being bigger means a better screen, bigger more comfortable joycon, and more space inside to pack components. I still wish it was smaller, not bigger. The closer we get to a Switch Lite with TV out, the happier I'll be.
that's why it says "official"nothing "official"
nothing new
Why? It encourages consumers to mix and match, which increases Joy-Con sales. Can they just stop with the two colours nonsense?
Technically a dpad is 4 buttonsBecause of the joycon design. Second player needs those 4 buttons too
As long as there is physical games, that's all I care about.
Give me a cheaper dockingstation only version without screen please.
Yeah funny Gif, but i don't like playing those games on small screens. So it's a waste for me. They already did the oposite with the Switch Lite, so why not docking only?

You are absolutely right... I need coffee...Each JoyCon has to work as separate controllers for multiplayer.

Without physical games I wouldn't touch the switch 2 or any other console for that matter with my dead mothers decaying arm!I'm curious how they manage physical games with Switch 2. Nintendo/game publishers ain't taking the financial hit of 64GB cartridges imo...they don't even want to do it with 32GB cartridges on Switch OG. The consumer will either through higher prices or will still have to download a lot of the game regardless.

Yeah, although I’m not a fan of it tbh. It’s too mushy and I tend to get the wrong input a lot of times when I use it.. I’m hoping they change it/improve it for the Switch 2 Pro Controllers. At least the Pro Controller has a proper D-pad.
It is? Backwards compatibility is about the only thing Nintendo did confirm months ago.THIS IS IT, physical proponents (such as myself). Sony and Microsoft are pushing their customers further and further away from physical. If this is physical (AND backwards compatible with Switch software), this will be the hill we likely die on.
That’s what the rumor mill suggests. With a screen that size it must be 1080p right? Native or DLSS.
