Fairy Tail 33
tumblr_lz82aeMoX11ro8cnpo1_500.gif

Finally the start of one of my favorite arcs in Fairy Tail. Beach was fun and Erza's exquip too.

Shou having the voice of my favorite dubbed voices is so cool (Kaoru (ouran), Gau (Nabari no ou), Naoi (angel beats). Needs even more roles. Otherwise fun start to the arc, and didnt know Jellal is pronounced Gel-ALL.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya "4"

The most important baseball match of all time... Wait, what? How did this happen?

Watching this in the airing order's definitely interesting.

Yuki's tarnishing the integrity of the sport. I for one will never vote for her on the HOF ballots.

Haruhi isn't even ostensibly the main character. It's Kyon's show through and through.
Unfortunately, that is true. I wish it wasn't though.

Which is why
Kyon is the true god.
I hate that theory. That'd be even stupider than the plot as it is...

Scarf moe?

Guys, guys, no need for fighting. All of the K-On girls are equally terrible.
No, Yui is worse than the rest of them.

pfff Milky Holmes is Super K-On Turbo Edition.

Never looked back.
I don't think the two have much in common apart from both being somewhat cute series about groups of girls... beyond that they are very, very different.

Thanks! I was wondering if it's something I should know or if it was okay for me to be not-so-informed.
It's a somewhat stupid, but occasionally entertaining, harem action series. The screen filter is one of the cooler things about it, but the show's nothing much above average for the genre, so it depends on if you like such things or not.

Lupin III 05:

...

Also, Lupin is officially a really dangerous sociopath,
blowing up an oil tanker in the middle of traffic without a second thought
. I like how the show deemed it necessary to add in "and miraculously no one was killed!" to the end of the scene just to downplay the horror of what had just happened.
That happens in the Miami Guns manga too, also with that same "but nobody died" excuse after it. That wasn't the most ridiculous such scene in that manga though... I think the prize has to be when Yao
blows up an AIRPLANE. In the air. With a missile launched from another airplane. AND NOBODY DIES.
:lol :lol

[Zetman]

On a related note, who the hell set's up a
monster battle without proper security, cages, guards and all that?
Idiots.
Blame it on horror-story writing. If the characters were too competent the story wouldn't work, right?

Naruto SD Rock Lee and His Ninja Pals ep 1
http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m1xcqpVE0c1rrhq9io3_250.gif

Well as a Naruto fan, I found it entertaining at least. I really cant imagine it having much appeal to people who arent really hardcore fans already or just kids, as I think there are other anime in this genre that do the comedy skits better. Really the only benefit here is characters that are forgotten in the manga penned by Kishimoto to have tons of speaking roles (ie TenTen apparently talks so much). A few minor things did make me chuckle (lots of stuff in the second half), and it was nice seeing Naruto, though did we really need an introduction of who Naruto Uzumaki is?!
even in this spinoff, Naruto still wins in "battles" which I did like, hate to see him lose

Wait, so Tenten actually does something? I wasn't planning to, but I might have to try this.

I don't understand the Yui or Mio hate :(

Why would you watch K-On if you hate Yui? She's like 50% of the show. There's basically no episode where she doesn't show up or has a big role.

That is one of the biggest problems with the show, yes. There's no escape from her idiocy...

She's the tsukkomi while everyone else (including Neji) is the boke.

Ah. I don't know if I'll like it or not, but sure, I'll watch it.

belladonna of sadness -

Figured I should knock this off my backlog, after seeing it mentioned a couple of times in relation to the new Lupin's visual style.

Enjoyed it a lot - the muted, watercolour-splotch illustrations coupled with the imaginative animation (in brief, opportune spurts) is evocative, striking, and creepily erotic. The retro as hell music fits oddly well with the magical, medieval setting of the movie. The fantastic visuals are complemented by the tragedy of the story, set up and played out rather deftly by the director.

I don't think I'll be watching it again anytime soon, though.

I don't hate Mio, but she's not as funny as Yui+Ritsu, nor as yurilicious as Mugi. She's better than Azusa, which doesn't require all that much effort but it's still something way positive.

You guys realize that Mugi only ever did that yuri thing in 2 episodes or so in the original series, right? They abandoned that completely in Season 2 and she was just the poor little rich girl all throughout.

Sure, but she has detachable eyebrows. Does Mio have that?!

Alright this wasn’t too bad, better than the rest of the episodes of this season. Mainly due in large part to the presence of Usagi’s dad. While her brother remains the everlasting lovable shota, it’s Usagi’s dad that is the real star of the family. He is a total boss who works his ass off everyday for his ungrateful family and yet he still loves them anyway. He needs more limelight, he deserves it.

So the one thing I didn’t see coming in this episode was the fact that
arabarian Endymion is actually not alter ego Tuxedo Kamen at all but instead some clone or half-brother or some weird shit.
Wonder whats going on there. Too bad he sucks too. Not surprising. Usagi somehow even more useless than usual. Also not surprising.
Her tiara going useless was weird too but I'm hoping she gets an awesome replacement now.

The premise of the episode was pretty enjoyable too. So retro, nostalgic really. Reminds me of the Buzz Lightyear themed game at Disney back when I was a kid.

It's bizarre how all of this makes more sense than Penguindrum.

Asides from being an adult woman (and my waifu, supposedly, according to one of those waifu generators that was posted before in these threads), I've never seen the appeal of Sawako - dunno, she always kinda annoyed me.

Spiderninjawalk when she infiltrates Yui's house was ace though.

I think you will enjoy it if you liked Penguindrum on any level. Strong recommendation here.

Penguindrum, IMO, had more annoying moments than good moments, but I really enjoyed the final 5 episodes (and 2 or 3 others).

I guess that could be considered liking it on some level. I'll add Utena to my list.

She's a moeblob though. The tree episode kind of showed what the people at KyoAni thought of her too. :p

Recommending good anime instead of trash like Blood-C feels nice for a change. :)

I like the way the way that you write about about using a "waifu generator" as if it was some benign, innocent act with no real consequences when we all know that using such a tool forges a pact stronger than steel.
