Ok so we are flying through the clouds and holy shit people's names that I've never heard of are appearing all over the place. Clearly the viewer is being given a visual ride through the average afternoon of a crystal meth addict. Who needs writing when animation can be so balls awesome it tells the story and develops the characters itself?

Heralded by a
giant red bubble
we are next treated to faceless characters standing staring off into the void on top of dystopian buildings holding various identifying hipster accessories and with varying degrees of unlikely hairstyles. Is this finally Mirror's Edge the Anime we've I've been waiting for?

What is this trailer missing? Character reveals! Axel from Kingdom Hearts stands topless like a boss before causing himself to spontaneously combust via mind bullets. Generic blue-haired androgynous manservice stands in a stadium looking sadly at the empty seats, wondering if perhaps he shouldn't have quit his day job for his misplaced childhood dream of being an idol. He gets attacked by a swift and agile fanboy before the two reconcile and have a brief moment of almost making out.

Brosuke from Persona 4 steals MC-san's sword cause he's a whiny bitch and swings it around a bit to let you know he's in this anime and he's got a sword so like yeah. More attacks by the fanboy. Random samurai dude saves some people from getting punked with his samurai sword but mostly his magical powaz, he'd have left the sword at home but then he'd just be a dude.

Our Vengeful Idolmaster attacks with a sword he pulled out of his ass, angry at the World for not recognising his talent. He gets blown away with magical powaz and oh how cute a neko~! It's licking itself next to a hot albino bishie! Girls can watch this anime too ya know!

Finally we finish up with a short expo on our impossibly dressed antagonists who eschew blending in with the crowd to wear badass long capes. To let you know they're evil, they openly flout the law by smoking in a non-smoking train station. Come at me bros.

The red bubble we saw earlier explodes revealing a giant floating sword. I have no idea what's going on but maaaaaaaaaan does it look good. And to top it off we get some more credits and presumably a tagline calling it anime's answer to Top Gun.

Awesome!

Hayate no Gotoku 1

Watched a bit of this years ago, but I don't remember where I left off, so I'm skipping around in the beginning. Santa is as big a douche as I remember.

I don't know what that means.

I don't either. You just get these imaginary points whenever you successfully do shit, and when the numbers hit a certain threshold you supposedly level up and another number somewhere else goes up. That's what RPGs tell me anyway. :(

If I'd known the Hyouka OP was worth so much XP I would have claimed it sooner.

Does he also get job points for this as well?

That's probably true for all the meme images. The frame is like the "for dummies" version where they try to be smart by spelling out the entire joke for you. Lame. :(

Or like the people in shounen anime who stand on the sidelines and explain in length what the visuals already told us, until the scene is entirely drained of tension.

Wait till the first episode airs first. So you can attract the non-animegaffers with good impressions from us!

Well there's nothing to prevent editing in impressions later, though I wasn't planning on making the thread any time in the immediate future. I mean it doesn't even air until the 22nd.

OT should pull a Dresden for what he did for Rinne no Lagrange.
