There were some price drops near the end of the last year down to $349USD, but all temporary.
Yes and it outsold the Series consoles for that price. It did incredibly well.

This is the price point that makes sense, valuewise. I understand why it was so expensive to begin with but they couldn't make its value match the price. At $399 it's FAR cheaper than VR1 was which didn't have the motion controllers except in more expensive bundles..

I'll have one when the price will drop in the 99€ tier. The hardware looks great, but is dead from day one basically, so would be a fair price just to play the backlog.

Pc compatible is tempting. Might snag one on Black Friday just to play HL Alyx.

I use mine for PC and PS5. Half Life Alyx took a little work, I had to increase my page file to 16GB I believe.
Then the floor is about waist height, I found out with a lot of Steam VR games you gotta put the headset on the ground and then click this developer calibrate button.
Then it was all good!

There's lots of great VR games now. Started Behemoth not too long ago. Metro, etc. People that think it still doesn't have great titles are just ignorant at this point.

I wondered if they would ever bother dropping the price. I believe it sold every well during the holidays at the $349 price point, so maybe they can pick up some steam.

I planned on selling mine, but I just haven’t gotten around to it. Unfortunately VR just makes me feel sick so despite just how amazing GT7 is in VR I barely use it and never actually even finished Metro despite being super hyped for it.

Weird. I never had that issue with Alyx. Mine just straight up worked “out of the box”.

I gotta do that headset on the floor and hit the dev calibrate button for almost every game.
The page file was interesting. I'm sitting here on a new gaming PC with a 4090 and 64gb of ram, and it was still complaining about something.

I only tried two games on PC while I still had it hooked up and both worked fine. Metro didn’t run very well on my pc weirdly (5600x/4070S) so I refunded it and got it on PS5 but I never had any non performance issues.

What OS are you running?
