I only tried two games on PC while I still had it hooked up and both worked fine. Metro didn’t run very well on my pc weirdly (5600x/4070S) so I refunded it and got it on PS5 but I never had any non performance issues.
What OS are you running?
PSVR2 outsold Xbox in many countries during the holiday sale and was close in the US. You living under a rock?
Same OS. Weird. I’ve thought about setting it back up (currently in a box since I was gonna sell it) to play some Alyx mods so I’ll see if I have the same issues this time as I’ve since reset my pc.Windows 11. I haven't started Metro yet, so can't say how it runs. I've been playing batman and body combat on quest, behemoth on ps5 and half life on pc.
Trying not to start another game yet. ha
Just wait another 8 months for $249 black fridayWasn't it $349 for Black Friday? If I didn't buy it then, why would I buy it for $399?
This is starting to look like they just wanna get rid of it tbh.
I also think this is it for Playstation and VR.
If I don't get a Switch 2 for some reason, $249 might push me to get one.Just wait another 8 months for $249 black friday

Nah, it’s just a normal price cut
I don’t see any reason to get rid of VR on PS, it’s supported by third parties anyways
Nice. I already have one and it great especially on Gt7. It is a nice piece of technology.
But Psvr2 for Ps5 really needs Half life Alyx to sell more. I hope Sony strikes a deal with Valve. And I hope too see Astrobot in PSVR2 mode, and games from Xbox like MS Flight Simulator, Forza Horizon, and Doom Dark age in VR mode.
you can always tell who hasn't played vr in these threads. hilarity.
They just had that game announced at the showcase that looked like South of Midnight that was VR ready, right? Looked pretty good. Really wish we could get HL2 or Astrobot Rescue Mission on it though. I know it will never get Batman....
This is a shame because I just bought it for full price in January, but que sera, sera.
I'd say RE4 or Village are probably the coolest experiences on the device.
You know what game I wish was on it more than anything? Triangle Strategy.
That's my strategy.Just wait another 8 months for $249 black friday
What is the last game Sony made for this? Do they even support it?
I was considering buying one for PCVR gaming and the occasional PSVR2 game.
Price cut doesn't seem like it has reached retailers here yet, but it could depress used prices down enough.
To reboot the niche VR market again... Don't think so.Huh. So PSVR3 incoming?
They need to port older games over to PSVR 2 and also add (optional) controller support. As a result they don't really have any active VR studios, so I guess the question is do you think it would be prudent for them to force a studio to make a VR game? They probably helped fund Resident Evil VR modes. So if your idea of support is them making games themselves, but ignoring what else they do to support it, then sure.
Sony don't even bother to port to VR2 their FPS games from PS3 as way to fill the library with something since they don't even make FPS games anymore, but nah, just hope someone makes something good and wants to make it VR2 compatible, otherwise it'll keep collecting dustStill needs some big games.
Not expecting anything major until Resident Evil 9 and Ace Combat 8.
I wondered if they would ever bother dropping the price. I believe it sold every well during the holidays at the $349 price point, so maybe they can pick up some steam.
I planned on selling mine, but I just haven’t gotten around to it. Unfortunately VR just makes me feel sick so despite just how amazing GT7 is in VR I barely use it and never actually even finished Metro despite being super hyped for it.
Weird. I never had that issue with Alyx. Mine just straight up worked “out of the box”.

Have accumulated however many games from Quest referrals, but have yet to play a single game in VR.
Get sick riding most rides that rotate, on road trips, if looking out the window while riding shotgun, etc.
So I can only imagine I'd get nauseous as hell.
What do you mean? It's a headset not an OS/browser. If you're asking if you can watch porn on a PS5 then no you can't but you can watch whatever you like if you connect it to a PC. It's a regular VR headset. Is it true you can’t watch porn on this?
I guess it doesn’t matter since there are cheaper alternatives![]()
So they had a stock clearance at $350 in November then another one in Feb at $399? Stop making shit up, it's a price cut.Its a stock clearance
The very same software pipeline as any VR unit on the market. The vast majority of the top PCVR games are getting PSVR2 ports each and every week. We have a massive and active thread here:What good is a low price if there's no software pipeline?

I've owned the Oculus Rift S, PSVR, PSVR2, and a Quest 2 over the years but I probably have less than 30 hours total played on all of them combined. I think the longest that I've ever been able to play in a single moment was about an hour or so in Gran Turismo 7 and about the same in Powerwash VR since there isn't really any actual movement in either case.Same thing here unfortunately boys, I came THIS close in getting the psvr2 during the Xmas promotion but then I remembered all the sweat and the nausea I used to get with the Psvr 1 which I sold not even 2 weeks after getting it back in the day...
VR is absolutely cool but it's not for me unfortunately, too much faffing about, needing space, sweating, nausea etc...
Shame
Early on there was a moment I'd get hot in them and had to quit.. Something happened when Q2 landed I got vr legs that now can go on for hours it'd weird how it happened.I've owned the Oculus Rift S, PSVR, PSVR2, and a Quest 2 over the years but I probably have less than 30 hours total played on all of them combined. In games that require movement I think the longest I can last in one go has been probably 45 minutes in Half Life Alyx. Some games I am literally on the verge of a migraine within 30. I don't really get motion sick as much as I get a searing headache (and as someone that is prone to migraines this is a no go) and my eyes kill me. Part of this I think is simply due to me not blinking enough but I get sick either way.
I know a lot of games have a bunch of things to prevent sickness like blink movement, vignette, etc but it never seemed to do too much for me. The last time I played Metro Awakening was sitting down and it still hit me around 30 minutes in.
I think the headset is amazing, and stuff like HL:Alyx is something everybody should experience at least once but I will still probably sell it.
Actually did not know that, that’s a positive developmentThe very same software pipeline as any VR unit on the market. The vast majority of the top PCVR games are getting PSVR2 ports each and every week. We have a massive and active thread here:
Also, PSVR2 can be used on the PC as well now, which provides a fantastic modern tech headset for the price.
I have to agree with this comment. I understand that margins are small on the headset, but that just means that Sony should have waited a few years and released a stand alone at a reasonable price when the tech was more mature (2027/2028/2029) and instead, have made a PSVR1 Lite with new controllers for $299.Still too much for a headset that isn’t even stand alone or cordless.
Unless you have some kind of inner ear issue, you'll adjust.I returned the one I bough from Costco during that big PSVR2 sale last year cuz it gave me motion sickness that lasted for an hour afterwards, but my girlfriend LOVED it, so I might get it again and see if I can grow my VR legs.
Just got into VR a little over a month ago. So glad I went with the Meta 3. Soooo many more good games. Only decent one on ps5 is Gran Turisomo.
