Dont think it'll make a difference. People play third party games on more powerful platforms.

Wii U had great launch games. A lot of same ones as 360 and PS3. Made no difference. I remember seeing sales of those games and they were terrible. I think the only third party game that did decent was Zombie U. Even BO2 sold bad.

Specious argument. Wii U started out with a lot of good 3rd party support because of the success of the Wii. The Switch started out with next to NO 3rd party support, because it was coming off the utter FAILURE of the Wii U. Hell, EA is still trying to decide if Switch support would be a good investment 150 million units later.

This will be gasoline on a fire if Nintendo gets solid 3rd party support and MK9 to start out with.

It's probably going to have the most 3rd party support of any Nintendo hardware since the Super Nintendo. PS5/Series hardware is overhyped and most games use UE5. I think most AAA games made on UE5 will be ported to Switch 2 for the same reasons MS is putting games on PlayStation and Sony is putting games on PC. They need the money.

Which portable/handheld Nintendo system has bombed? I don't think any have. The Switch fits more into that category and Nintendo bailed on the traditional console.

3rd party support on Switch was very good, and quite a few sold quite well.(Civilization, Hogwarts, Doom,Witcher 3, No Man's Sky,etc..)

However, I expect AA 3rd party software from Japan will be the most prevalent on Switch 2, just like the original.

I'm not suggesting Switch 2 will bomb. I'm just saying it's not a certainty it will be a Switch 1 level success, or that it'll suddenly be a massive haven for third party games and lead the industry on that front like the OP is claiming.

Sure, there's a lot of decent success with some third party titles on Switch 1. I expect that with Switch 2 for certain audiences. It's not going to be the primary place to play many of them though.

There is a rumour that they have a target of 20 millions, I think. Waiting, with the chip ready from nVidia for two years already, will certainly pay off in production efficiency.
will sell every singles one fastest first year ever my friends

They'll get a lot more third party support.

Microsoft will be there day one. I think Hi-Fi rush and Halo MCC are a lock for launch day. Possibly COD and FH5 as well. Rumor is ESIV remake as well, but I'm not sure about that one.

EA will come out swinging. Currently they only sport title EA give the Switch is FIFA (I'll still call FIFA!), but I think we'll also see Madden and NHL on the Switch 2. Will the next Battlefield also make it to the Switch 2? Possibly.

Capcom will provide more games. Street Fighter 6, local editions of RE2, 3 and 4 remakes, plus maybe RE 7 and 8. Maybe even Dragons Dogma 2.

Ubisoft will provide Just Dance as a cert. Assissan Creed, possibly even Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six.

Square are going to port over FFVI remake games.

Overall, the Switch 2 launch year could be one of the best in recent memory for third party support.

Some folks need their thread making rights removed. For the simple reason that GAF can do better and it would look professional.

The same gulf between Switch and PS4 will exist between Switch 2 and PS5. Probably Switch 2 will remain a really bad place to play online games.
It's a smaller gulf. Porting an Xbox Series game to Switch 2 will be noticeably easier than porting an Xbox One game to Switch
I think as always third parties will show some minor support the first year, but after realizing that again, as happened since the N64, most AAA 3rd parties don't sell well enough on Nintendo, they'll gradually drop support particularly in the more demanding AAA games that can't run there decently.

I think it will start strong with indies/smaller games, but I think in the mid/long term PC handhelds will raise their popularity (as Xbox and PS join the wagon) and Switch will stop being the default indies portable device, as PS Vita was before it.

I think Switch 2 will perform well (so over 100M), but not as successful as Switch 1 (so under 150M). And won't change anything for the 3rd parties, particularly the AAA ones since most of them won't be able to achieve decent performance due to lack of horsepower or sales.

I also think that 3rd parties instead of releasing day one their new PS5 or PS6 gen AAA games they'll mainly port there old PS4 gen games.
I don't we can say "as always" when third party support is different across different Nintendo platforms.

Third parties didn't drop off after the first year with the Wii or DS, and with the Switch it was the complete opposite as they jumped in after the first year.

With Switch 2 they won't have to wait and see as they already saw the sales for their game on the original Switch.

Now that they have more power to play with, they can bring over a mountain of PS4 ports as well as a lot of PS5 stuff.

AAA 3rd party support and sales were great in NES and SNES. It has been very poor (specially when compared to PS) in N64, GameCube, Wii, WiiU and Switch. So I expect it to be the same than these last 5 main generations.

I'd bet PS4 level horsepower won't be enough to run high end -at least decently- PS6 (which pretty likely will be released in 2027, a couple years after Switch 2) AAA games, as happened in Wii, WiiU and Switch.

Compared to the early years of Swich it will be like night and day. It's easier to port games now and Switch 2 will be coming off the success of the Switch, not the failure of Wii U and mediocrity of the 3DS.

So for example, Switch 2 will probablyb get mainline Final Fantasy, MGS and COD, which Switch didn't. And if course it will get much better support than from Microsoft.

I don't think it gets PS6 exclusives, but it get cross gen releases after PS6 launches.

Nintendo's own games will always push their hardware sales. Nintendo just need to expand their own in house development teams and keep those exclusives coming. Decent AAA support is just the icing on the cake.
