Yeah, the patch has been out for the 360 for a few days in the US. It definitely fixed lag issues that I saw from last week. I haven't touched the PS3 version of the game though.

You know, I've seen the videos, and the streaming on JustinTV, and even Blim's 60-fps videos, but nothing prepared me for how awesome this game looks in person.

I wasn't attacking him, it just seems silly to judge which version is better when compairing patched vs. unpatched. Hopefully we'll see a PS3 patch this week.

I'm hoping this "magical patch" comes for the PS3. Cause online games are a hit and miss right now. But damn I still have fun with it.

I'm kinda bummed to hear this. I have been playing the Import version since last week, and I didn't have any problems with slowdown (only with sucking :lol )

I am comparing the two versions as they stand now. I don't see anything "silly" about it. We don't even know if the PS3 version is even getting a match, I'm just mentioning that the 360 version did in the hopes that the PS3 version will get one too. For the second time, I don't even know how the 360 version played pre-patch.

If you're like me and have both systems or are considering double-dipping, my recommendation is go with the 360 version and wait and see what happens with the PS3 version. I'm not condemning the PS3 version by any means...I'd still recommend it to any PS3-only owner, no question.

Wait I'm confused, I thought there was a patch released for the PS3? I believe I had to download a 14MB file when I first connected my PS3 to the net.

My import copy has blind select... Did you get the patch for the ps3? I thought it was added in the patch.

Yeah, I had imported it. I didn't go online with my PS3 till Saturday since I was staying at my fiances house. The minute the PS3 detected the internet, a message came up about a 14MB download.

Online has been great for me so far.

SFIV or BB? (360)

I have no stick.

I was "okay" at SFIITR... I could air-hadouken the shit out of the Hard CPU with Akuma. I could pull off Raging Demon with some success too.

I sucked ass at SFIII3S. I was pretty terrible since I didn't take the time to master parries, supers, EX-supers, whatever. (Did 3S Akuma even have EX-supers?)

I'd like something that's "easy" to get into. The Shoryuken.com strategy disk included in the BB CE is tempting as hell!

This is good news! :D

Maybe we'll get the patch whenever PSN updates this week? Or maybe it will go up tomorrow (since the game did ship a day early).

Very, very glad to see that the PS3 version did indeed get the same patch; I expect the online to improve TREMENDOUSLY then.

I just picked up the PS3 version at Gamestop, but haven't had the chance to play it yet. It was the last copy, I don't think they ordered many. Like Lyte said the packaging is nice and the manual is 49 pages and in full color.

i was thinking of waiting, but these summer months are kinda dead anyways, might as well pick it up imported.

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
Played around a bit in pretty much every mode, Jin seems the easiest to start with so I've been using him, but I want to lean Noel and Arakune as well. I played about 6 matches online and it was extremely smooth(360), I had options unspecified for matching up and got a level 42 player that obviously completely destroyed me, but I was just surprised that I had no lag while playing a Japanese player. :lol

Oh yeah, he played Tager, but the other 5 fights have all been Ragna or Jin...I can't say anything since I play Jin too, but looks like the new Ken and Ryu for sure. :p

Seriously no need to worry about netcode whatsoever. Plays much much better than HDR imo.

Most matches against Japanese players seem lagless...all matches against US players have been lag free...or I couldn't tell there was lag.
