Damn. The wife is killin like a madhouse online right now with Noel. She's gone from spamming D to mixing it up with a finisher aerial and continues her combo string and finishes it off with a super. 24 hit combo last I saw. Now she's working on Litchi. Dear god. I'm gonna get pwned in this game if I don't get Taokaka and Jin up to speed.

Got my game and artbook today, both were shipped in a sturdy box, and apparently they were very worried the artbook wouldn't arrive damaged, so they tried to fold it before shipping. 
I should be able to straighten it out if I put it under a heavy book though. Game box is in mint condition though, so at least there's that.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday. Within the first throw I felt an odd *grind* and quickly took it apart. As it turns out the washer that comes loose was seating just fine and the pcb was intact. What WAS happening was that the plastic spring base was, on throw, hitting the edge of the washer and making a little clicky feeling. No damage done. Banged it around a few times to wear it in, put it back together and works a-ok. I still suck at street fighter, but my execution is MUCH better... sort of :lol And my fingers are tired as I've never used a stick other than when I was a little kid in the arcades :lol
Only spent yesterday with it though... more problems may arise
if they do I'll just order some new parts and call it good Unfortunately my copy just finally shipped out of Kentucky D: My delivery date is tomorrow... I don't know if I can make it.

You should see her in Tekken. She has this way of buffering side steps to avoid combos or hits all the time. Frustrating as hell. I'm sure as hell she could beat the crap out of that Super Yan.

About to start my night of playing this but I got to try it out for a few moments on the demo unit at Gamestop. The game looks *incredible* and is pure eye candy. And I can echo Lyle's comments on the dual shock as it worked really well and I had no trouble with inputs on Jin or Ragna (the only 2 I tried in the time I was there).
And yeah, a track listing in the CD database would be awesome as I imported the soundtrack into my iTunes and had to manually edit all those track names to BB 1, BB 2, etc! Quality of the product cant be debated though. This is one awesome special edition at a standard edition price. Thanks Aksys!

Whoa, this is the most fun I've had with a 2D fighter since Night Warriors. This is totally playable offline for non-fighting game types if you just want to learn a few moves and ignore all the fancy shit.
Does anyone know if there's a way to change what you trigger with the right analog stick? I don't need shortcuts for basic moves, just the double action supers...

No artbook, picked it up at work so I could get my employee discount.
Just to emphasize how important preorders were, we had 3 preorders for the 360 version (although 2 were from employees) and 0 for the PS3. We received 10 copies of the 360 version and only 3 of the PS3 version. Preorders can definitely be the difference maker on sell-in, people.

Yup, but the host has to enable it for Player Matches. I don't think shortcuts work in Ranked Matches, but I have no clue since I use a stick.Ken Masters said:

The artbook is nice; I'm glad I preordered from GameStop.com instead ofopting for GameCrazy's uh.. mana potion. ;P There's not much in here that we haven't seen before in other media, but there are a few alternate character poses and a couple of other gems. I'm deciding on custom artwork for my TE stick and was going to go with a Tachibana Ukyo (SamSho) design, but am now considering building a design around the Ragna/Jin/Noel piece from page 4-5 of the artbook instead.
Can't wait to actually try the game out after I eat. See you guys online!

I enjoy the Soul Calibur, Tekken, and Guilty Gear games, while I don't find Street Fighter or Virtua Fighter to my liking. (I know, I'm the quintissential casual fighter fan) I like easier-to-execute combos and flashy attacks in my fighters over technical and intense fighters.
Will I like this one? I'm thinking about getting a copy after I get off work.

V-13 is really pissing me off in story. All that sword spamming....oh and I like that I block projectiles only to get attacked by swords hitting my back .

The first one looks like it hits low (but it hits mid), and she has one sword attack that is an overheard, so always block high against her drives. Only block low against her ground fireball.Urban Scholar said:
