Well with my very smalla mount of time playing (hour?), I've come to the conclusion I like Noel. She seems to be just made of tons of mixups. Took me quite a bit to figure out how her chain revolver stuff worked. For anyone who doesn't know or wants to know

D -> Mid hit to start revolver combos
6D -> Low hit
4D -> Mid hit I think, good for avoiding incoming attacks since she steps back.
2D -> Overhead

(all these done when there's been done after a revolver move)
A -> Mid hit, nothing specia
---6Ax? - Keep continuing the attackl
B -> Mid hit, knocks back
6B -> Overhead
6C -> Multi hit move
C -> Mid hit, knocks down
236D -> Mid hit... not sure really what the point is since it has a huge startup
214D -> A rushing shoulder attack. Only thing I cna figure for this one is dashing under an opponent when you pop them up to confuse them
28D -> Launcher



Simple combo

4D (avoid incoming hit), 6D, C, A, 2D. 28D, j.a, j.b, double jump, j.a, j.b, 236C or 236236D

EDIT: I Keep finding stuff...

I'm really loving this game, canceled my pre-order with Amazon and went to my local GS and picked it up. People have crappy connections need to be punched in the face. fa real!

oh, and I love Noel (like everyone else)

I like No face though :D

Oh my god, I just played my first match online and I got ROCKED. This is the type of game that makes me think I might be better on a controller... :lol

Apparently UPS decided not to lose my order this time, and is coming earlier than expected. What took 3 days to go from Kentucky to California before... took 1 day. Gah... Why doesn't UPS let you just drive up to their distribution centers and pick up your game?

I've really underestimated Noel's chain revolver and how the stuff links into each other... lot more complex...

Also Way simple combo

4D (avoid incoming hit), 6C, C, 6C, C, 236D

Nice damage for something so easy.

Went through training with a few characters. Liking Hakumen atm, but is there a reason he's not part of story mode playable characters. I was hoping get a grasp on stuff there with him but oh well.

And I just heard "boobie lady". Worth the entry price right there.

how do you "go through" training? is it something like the sf4 training? when i click training its just the typical 1vs1 cpu thing.

This game is so damn pretty in person. Loving it so far. The bonus disc is really well done. It's great not only for learning your main character, but for getting a quick summary on the other characters as well so you'll have an idea of what you'll be up against.

I have a complete newbie question: how do you change the outfit colors?

I'm assuming so, since I remember the name had some variation of "Doctor" in it. (A Real Puppet here.)
Seems my mic was turned way down - new headset - so don't be thinkin' I rage-quit! I am in dire need of practice, though, and need to improve my Tao beyond one pretty basic (but effective) combo. :lol 0 wins 9 losses against Toku, and I think I played 1 match against you (and lost)

Picked it up today been playing it in vs all night


trying out multiplayer online. It seems to lag before the match and then get better. Is this normal?

wow, in spite of my GGXX experience I feel like I'm starting from scratch, these characters are all so different it's crazy. This game is gonna be a HUGE timesink!

Right..I've been playing GG for the last 10 years, and suddenly I'm a green again.

I really hope the PS3 patch comes out tomorrow, the lag is absolutely terrible, making online pretty much unplayable for me.

You're right. I apologize. I just meant I was looking through the characters moves and such, just to get a basic feel of them.

for people who preordered from Gamestop.com with artbook and received them already: did they ship them in boxes or bubble envelopes? i'm expecting a bent artbook if it's the latter.

Box, my book was in pristine condition (as opposed to the rough corners of my MGS4 artbook)

Load times are 2-3 seconds, but they occur pretty often. Expect to wait a while to change characters if you lose in arcade mode. Lack of an install option is pretty disappointing.

Don't sell yourself short, you came real close on numerous occasions with Taokaka. I was pulling out some bullshit to beat you those rounds :lol

So this asshole at GameStop told me that they're aren't getting another shipment of the game until August because that's when the release date is for the Non-Limited Edition of the game and they only have copies of the game for people who preordered. So basically WTF: there's a release date for the Limited Edition and then there's a separate release date a month later for the non-limited edition? Is this guy bullshitting me?

What are the chances that I am going to find this in Target, Walmart, Best Buy if GS stores only seemed to have ordered copies for preorders?
