honestly, it's personal preference
objectively speaking, Blazblue at least handles online multiplayer much better

cool, im buying it tomm.
I've been out of the fighting game scene for a long time. I passed on SFIV. But BlazBlue looked so great in preview and reviewed so well that I picked it up today (PS3) along with an order for an arcade stick.
Loving it so far. Reminds me why I used to love the genre so much!

Is there anything more satisfying than hitting 6C, 236CC, 2D, C, 8D, 236BB, C, 8D, 236BBBB with Tao? I think not!
I love this game. Didn't think there would be another game that would rival SF4 for years, but so far this is keeping pace...

wouldnt be able to answer that, there too different. sf4 is a great kick back at the same time you need to be on your toes game but BB is just fast paced brutal action. the main thing this game has over street fighter is the music HANDS DOWN.BradVanDam said:

I was close too, but I think you were right. Once we got one round down, he proceeded with hardcore sword spam. Hell, if he was near dead he'd start with the spam as well.

Or low poke into throws with Tao, then other stuff. I spent a lot of the first day trying to figure out how to get in and throw, but throwing while they're in hit or block stun makes things so easy! If they weren't so easy to tech, this game would be soooooo broken. Lots of throw loops.

I try to start off with a 5b or something whenever I can, but 2A hits so often it's hard to deny it. If you land a 5C on counter hit you can combo a 6C for massive rape. Or like UC said, start a low poke then hit a 4+BC, 236CC, 2D, etc. for some nice damage.

It would appear to be really unsafe. If you have some patience and just block it all, she'll finish her moves and be completely open for pwnage. This is something I have to remind myself. Alternatively, if you're not in the corner, you can just backdash. I think some of her drive moves have upper body invincibility, so a low attack might beat it out (after you block).

Okay, I've asked before, but no response.
Does this game display in 768p on Xbox 360 via VGA like the arcade version does?
I don't have a 360 VGA cable, but that's the native res of the LCD TV in my room and the purchase of a VGA cable depends on it.

Loving the game (I know, original thought lol).
To the people really having trouble, I HIGHLY recommend taking a look at the character videos on the bonus dvd, they'll give you a really good explanation of what you're supposed to be doing with each character.
I first tried playing with Arakune, and just was completely lost. The video on him was pretty eye-opening, and really explained how to control and restrict the other player's movement with him. Helps a ton, I swear.

I'd think Instant Block into Tsubame Gaeshi (623D) would work. TG is invincible on start-up so it should be fine for countering. I haven't taken my Litchi online yet though so that's just reading and offline thoughts. Besides that, my plan with Rachel is to just dash away and 236B/C or 214B+D to Counter and combo so similar options for Litchi of running away might work :lol
Anyway, got a near 50% (26-27) record with Rachel after a day. I'm sad since it started so well before going that route
Oh well, not bad considering this is my first time doing a competitive fighter, other than Melee/Brawl, and my first day with a stick. I just need to learn how to play defensively better
and to stop jumping at Tagers

Played a ton of online last night ( got up to level 7), and as much as I loved using v-13, her defense blows. As soon as you get past the "how do i drive button" scrubs, she gets taken apart.
I started playing with Hakumen, and damn, he gets the job done. His lights and mediums all link, his qcf+A has sick priority, and his air dash C is ridiculous. I shut down so many noel players, it was pretty satisfying.

Looks like I won't be getting BlazBlue.
Went to EB to see if they'd be getting it today, and apparently they're not even able to fill pre-orders. There are over 800 pre-orders in the country, and only 500 copies to fill them in.

When you do the 5B+C throw, you can follow it up with a 5D for a free hit. Also, those 2A jabs you're throwing out an can lead into her 236AAAA slash attack pretty easy. Even if he blocks, those break the block pretty quickly.
