DaFish, we must do battle when this game comes out
Since I'm always too tired to play L4D :lol

I can confirm that the Japanese version is dual-language and defaults to English on start-up.

Uhoh..shaneamcry..AlphaSnake said:I've had a review copy for a few days now, and I must say that I actually prefer this over KOF12. Plus the visuals are a lot nicer, and a lot smoother than those of KOF12; there are some aliasing quirks, but very minimal ones most people will have to really for on the fighters.
360 version is worse.DimmuBurgerKing said:Since you know your stuff when it comes to these things: is it that bad? And is the 360 version any better or worse? You're making me reconsider my import, here. :lol

PS3 has a Sanwa JLF lever, while the 360 has a Hori knockoff. Both sticks use Hori buttons soldered directly to the circuit board.
ZealousD said:Can we actually keep the KOF vs BB discussion to a minimum? I know that their close release makes comparison tempting, but I don't want this to be the next "inFamous vs Prototype" =P

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of blind select?Lyte Edge said:Online lag is weird. I've played people from Japan in matches where they end up dropping on me due to how HORRID the lag is, and then some where everything is laggy right up until the match starts, then it gets pretty smooth!
Observations:
-There's blind character select in ranked matches.
-A card is displayed after the select screen with info about yourself, mainly who you main and who your sub character is based on usage.
-If you have J voices enabled, your character will speak Japanese, but if your opponent has English voices on, his/her character speaks in English! Nice touch.
-You can create (and name!) a room for up to six people and they can observe the fight in progress. HOWEVER I was unable to join rooms with matches on-going; dunno if they were private or not.
-You can save replays after every match!
So far I am using Litchi and Taiga. I liked Taokaka in arcades and may go back to her too. Bang also seems pretty cool.
And there's some pretty funny dialogue. I heard Litchi say "My breasts are not beat buns!" after a round. :lol I wonder if it's the same in English; haven't tried the English voice out yet.

jaundicejuice said:Wait, what? I thought the game is scheduled for release until the end of the month in the states and we usually get our games a day or two after them. So what do you mean by it's not available locally? Like no one is selling it or no one has leaked it here early?
shagg_187 said:Not available in Best buy, Future shop, etc etc etc. You can buy it online but not in any local stores.
(Not sure about EB Games though).
Mattlikewhoa said:That's weird. I just checked BB and FS online for myself, and you are correct. They do not have Blazblue listed. I think your best bet it hitting up some local EB Games stores and seeing if they have any extra copies.
shagg_187 said:Well, last I checked, you can only get the game in Canada if you preorder it. You can't expect to walk into the store and get it. Gotta go pre-order it right now! I'll let you know if EB Games are still taking pre-orders.

I mean, can't someone counterpick the character you're most likely to chose statistically?

Oh this sounds wonderful. Is the netcode GGPO style? I hope your install problem isn't an an issue with all copies...I mean, it sucks if you got a bum copy or your 360 is dying! But it would suck more if I had to deal with fan noise while playing!Lyte Edge said:Online lag is weird. I should hopefully have a copy by the weekend. Turns out the Japanese release isn't fully region locked. It can be played on US consoles. So I'm assuming the US version can be played on Japanese consoles. I wish I'd known this before I placed my order. Agggh.

I noticed they were sold out for the longest as well, so I signed up for the email reminders...lo and behold, I received an email saying it was in stock, so I rushed to my pc to snag a copy. Honestly, I think I got the last one, because soon as I placed my order, the stock changed to "back order" :lol
