The Blood of Dawnwalker — Cinematic Trailer & Gameplay Teaser

Thick Thighs Save Lives

NeoGAF's Physical Games Advocate Extraordinaire
The Blood of Dawnwalker is the first chapter of Rebel Wolves’ brand new role-playing saga — a single-player open-world dark fantasy action-RPG with a strong focus on story and narrative. Developed on Unreal Engine 5 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S.

You play as Coen, a young man turned into a #Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Use your skills and combine vampiric strength with human resolve as you take on a quest to save the ones you love. Face your foes – be they human, monster, or the ticking clock itself. But remember – the real evil may bask in the sun's light, and the most loyal of allies could lurk under the cover of night.

Not particularly exciting, but I guess if the gameplay and writing are solid I'm in.
Have any of these "ex dev from famous studio opens up new studio to make a game that's very similar to the stuff that made them famous" worked out?
Exodus looks pretty meh, the Casey Hudson studio closed down, Stormgate seems to be shaping up to be a flop, etc.

I guess Bloodstained was pretty good outside the ugly visuals.

Dying Light is leaps and bounds better than Dead Island.

Edit: doesn't count, same developer.

Meh. I believe that no game should be announced publicly until six months before its actual release, and at that time only gameplay footage should be shown. Giving a shit about anything announced with cinematics is pointless. It also says "first chapter" so that is concerning. Is this episodic? Is this a planned trilogy? Red flags for me personally if so. It's just impossible to be excited for anything announced given the state of the industry.

I'm eager to see more, but they really leaned heavy into the Witcher vibes with this cinematic. Even the music sounds like something straight out of it.

Looks more interesting than the Witcher 4's trailer.
Damn, I still dislike the direction that Ciri acts too emotionally and not like a Witcher

Great CG trailer. Sets up the world, stakes, lore.

Now to wait and see the gameplay. But I'm definitely interested.

That name is too long and cliched. Atmosphere, VA, music and graphics are on point. Need more gameplay to cement my purchase but even right now, yeah highly likely I'm get this day fucking one. Way more hype than Witcher 4 tbh.

These games are announced so early for staffing. They need to hire people with expertise in this genre for the next 4 years. This is a "come apply" trailer.
