Probably Film Grain, you can turn it off in the settings.

Game looked great, but the original Performance Mode on base Consoles didn't even have shadows.. having Ray Tracing at 60fps is going to provide one gigantic difference here.

I too loved my launch PS5. After 200 hours on Resident Evil 4 on Pro I booted the game on base PS5..
Once you get used to these RE games with 4K and RT at rocksolid 60fps it's impossible to go back to the slideshow on base PS5.
And it's impossible to go back to no Hair Strands and no RT..

*DoF, Lens Distortion, CA and Motion Blur all active, because game at native 4K is razor sharp anyway and appears too raw without them for my taste.

You mean ray traced shadows, right? Because the game definitely had shadows all over the place (and dark spaces)

Bots for disc drives are on insta buy right now. I've tried about 8 times to grab a drive in the last few days.

I can get it in cart, hit buy now, and that's when all transactions are going through. It says error several times and says out of stock.

I'm not trying extremely hard but they are hard to snag with auto buy bots.

Dame, the devs should have implemented toggle on RT. If people prefer pin sharp image quality, then resolution should substantially higher when RT toggles off.

Game has 3 modes now. 4k60fps performance, 4k 40fps Balanced and 8K 30fps which downsamples at 6K on my 4K display.
