My only concern is whether there will be a watermelon ending. I expect this game to get the same reception ico and sotc got if they were released now. So I dock 2 points off for technical problems so it's a 8 and add/subtract 1 point depending on the games story and ether it appeals to you.

I've seen a lot of people dump Trico's stubborn AI, but honestly, when I previewed this earlier in the year I found it to be one of the most refreshing gaming experiences I'd had in a long time.
I'd gotten so used to predictable AI over the years that followed at a set distance behind or alongside me - moving when I moved, idling when I idled - that it was genuinely exciting to be lumped with a companion that really seemed to have a mind of its own.
I remember coming to the end of the corridor and this big ledge that fell away in front of me. I was doing the ordinary gamer this of iching towards the edge and carefully peering over to look for traps when the giant dog-bird bounded over my head and crashed down below me.
It reminded me what asshole my cat is and it really just made me smile.

Are you sure it's not a long run trophy? The normal completion time is probably an hour or so.

Never base normal playtime on a speed run trophy.
We already know that every Metroid game is a TheOrder out of 10 at best.

I can get behind your prediction. That would be an excellent score, especially when the game has technical issues. I'm pretty much set on buying the game anyway, based on all the positive impressions in the early copy thread.

Framerate dropping should be noted and score be lowered dependent on the reviewers tolerance (also based on overall experience) but that thread will be terrible.

Resident Evil had a reward for finishing it in under three hours that would certainly have been a trophy now. Don't really see the correlation of game time and quality.

Tom did all the coverage for it so we'll see how it goes.
I choose not to do this one since I wanted to savor the game for myself without deadlines.
The remake actual does have that trophy.
Judging that I've already seen people saying that 20fps is great for these kind of games, Im really looking forward to it.
Don't remember anyone at any stage saying 20FPS was "great".
