I'm gonna go 82. I'm really excited for this and FFXV, and I'm expecting to love this due to how I feel about previous Team Ico games but gonna keep score expectations in check.

I'm guessing meta in high 70s with a wide spread of individual scores. I think the degree to which the reviewer is emotionally engaged by the realism of Trico will be the primary driver of scores over things like puzzle design, controls, and graphics.

I think, or at least hope, that pro reviewers will be above taking the "does it live up to 10 years of hype?!" tack, but I expect to see a ton of that in general discussions of the game.

I trust Ueda despite him being stuck on this game due to contract. I don't think he would half ass it. I'm holding out high hope because I still can play shadow of the colossus to this day while still loving it the same amount as the first time.

FF15 reviews are actually great, this will seriously go against the last guardian if it gets bad reviews because a game that was in development for almost the same time did well critically so there will be no excuses

Low 80s and it will probably be my GOTY.

Uncharted 4 while very polished, I was underwhelmed after finishing it. even Uncharted 3 was much better and more impactful

Dark Souls 3 is very disappointing to the point of depressing

I haven't finished FFXV yet, but I played it for ~ 30 hours and it's good 7-8/10 game. It's fun, but doesn't remotely lives up my expectations for Versus 13

Be this year's saving grace TLG!! I balee in Fumito Ueda.

75-80 one Metacritic.

Games like TLG are not getting very good review scores anymore. I guess you will hear a lot of "bubububut it plays like a PS2 / last gen game".

77, critics will blame dated graphics / mechanics and technical issues. Some more stupid will somehow manage to lower the score because it's short and doesn't have online/multiplayer.

IMO TLG will be glorious and will probably end up being highly underrated.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
I'm actually curious how the game will sell. I'm not expecting gang busters gigantic sales but its getting a decent and rather focused ad push by Sony and the PS4 has the base at this point. Combine that with its long awaited status in the hardcore/artistically leaning crowds with people's love of cute animals and the fact its very very different from other offerings this holiday season (or most any of them).

I believe in Ueda. Seeing the HD collection still managed to rake in great scores, I trust reviewers will be able to enjoy his crafts still.

What does a statement like this mean? The game was never even a PS2 game, it was barely a PS3 game.

Basic checkerboard rendering. I don't expect much.
It means they'll claim it's outdated gameplay despite it being really fun and despite PS2 era games generally being more creative and better than modern games, using that phrasing to look down upon it. But hey, everything has to have the same controls I'm used to or the game sucks. That's basically that mentality. Lol

78 the same score as
The Dark Knight Rises
, search your feelings you know it to be true.

In all seriousness, I really hope this does well, Ueda is easily my favorite non-Nintendo creator. He deserves it.
