Uh dude, almost every shooter has mkb on console now.
The one thing that got me confused is that both joycons have this feature. Double mouse control? Left handed people redeemed?
Anyway, yes guys, you can use mouses on your lap, specially the wireless. You all survived trackpad and the minuscule nature of joycons, you will survive this too.
I'm curious about what plans Nintendo has for that extra USB-C.
That would actually be a cool gimmick, imho.In the Tron'ish sequence where two controllers slide across the table with an attachment, that's clearly mouse functionality being shown.
Seems like a no-brainer for a next-gen Splatoon game.
Will MS & Sony scramble to implement similar solutions, or just encourage more m+kb controls in games?
It exists, games have just to support it. Something like FF14 has had kb+m support on PS4 for ages.Wait, really!? I've wanted M+K support on consoles for years man.
It's kind of the opposite. Nintendo is copycatting Lenovo here.Queue the copycats come next generation of handheld PC's lol.
In other words... Switch 2 Mini is dead on arrival? This does not make sense to me, to be honest.

Thats actually a really great idea if it does function the was we think it does. Can play RTS and assuming you can use a keyboard, some FPS or TPS games for better accuracy.
Thanks for confirming... it's a really very gimmicky featureSwitch Mini couldn't play Ring Fit Adventure w/o purchasing additional joy-cons, I guess that will be similar for games that use the mouse feature then.
I don't think they'll force it into a driving game. Splatoon & Metroid Prime, or software developed for the tech, like Mario Paint will be used to demonstrate the tech IMO.I wonder how this will control with Mariokart? You know Nintendo’s going to use it as a showpiece for new controller features. That’s usually their thing.
I can't imagine using it comfortably, no. Kickstand and stuff is nice for airplanes or whatever, not for playing civ or anything with a mouse.
Wait, really!? I've wanted M+K support on consoles for years man. Diablo 4 on this? Yesssss.
Most people own tables in their houses and use them with laptops and desktops etc.
The gimmick get even more gimmicky.
To be honest, I read Mario Paint and not Mario Maker 3… thats why I wrote this shit.I swear to God when I read this I heard the bomb/crash sound effect from Mario Paint in my mind
Darn thats awesome. Haven't looked properly into the Legion Go.It's kind of the opposite. Nintendo is copycatting Lenovo here.
Hands-on: The Lenovo Legion Go can turn one of its controllers into a gaming mouse. Wait, what?
Lenovo's massive new handheld PC is more than just a chonky Nintendo Switch.www.pcgamer.com
This would level the playing field when playing against PC players in shooters. In the Tron'ish sequence where two controllers slide across the table with an attachment, that's clearly mouse functionality being shown.

input based matchmaking, co they won't allow you mouse mode with aim assist in controller based games. /im fun at partiesM&KB accuracy with aim assist in Call of Duty
I am not sitting at a desk to use this functionality. I will use a lap desk that I have for my wireless keyboard and mouse for PC gaming in my living room. I hope that Nintendo or a 3rd party releases a mouse as separate peripheral because that dors not look comfortable to hold the Joy con in mouse position. In the Tron'ish sequence where two controllers slide across the table with an attachment, that's clearly mouse functionality being shown.

So you can buy the ‘Pro’ accessory for too much money.nintendo love making super uncomfortable form factors
Sounds decent for tabletop here. I have a really hard time seeing how this would work well when playing on the couch though. It's kind of the opposite. Nintendo is copycatting Lenovo here.

I'm confused, how do you guys propose this would work? Would you need to, like in the trailer and like with an optical mouse, need to move the joycons around on a flat stable surface (like a desk?)? Because that doesn't seem ergonomic at all in this context. If they'd go with some kind of visual tracking (like the quest controllers) I could maybe see this work, but like a mouse? Nah, that's reaching imo (or Nintendo is even more retarded than I thought)

I think that Joycon will disappear in a crevice of your hands to never be found again.M&KB accuracy with aim assist in Call of Duty

I was wondering when the PC diehards would show up & say something stupid lolLol… people knock PC for desk play, but Nintendrones: “OMGGGGZZZ REVOLUTIONARY”

Switch 1 has regular bluetooth and usb. You don't need to turn your game system into The Homer to support mouse control.
OH man here's a thought what if the make a sequel to MARIO paint and make it a pack in title for the Switch 2! (Make Mario paint 2 you cowards!!). Also I think the last time Nintendo made a pack in title was like Wii U?
Mario Paint 2 finally?
