I have to admit the way people hate on Xbox is sad lol Sony is the golden child because Ps4 was great and now Xbox is the red headed step child that cant do anything right 😅 I have such great memories associated with all platforms. My hope is they improve and they have been from my perspective. Game pass is great. Loved hellblade 2. Loved Starfield. Stalker 2 coming in a week or so. Indiana Jones a month later. Avowed in February. Fable next year. South by Midnight. Idk lol seems to me theyre headed in the right direction 🤷‍♂️

Why should they care how customers access the games? I haven't had an xbox since they went day 1 on PC and it has been great. The thing they need to worry about with this campaign is that streaming is still kinda shit. I upgraded to GP ultimate from PC thinking the kids could use the streaming on a firestick. It is lag city. I live between Baltimore and DC but out on a peninsula so probably just outside of good range. Maybe that means most get a better connection, or maybe the service just doesn't work well. Also I currently cannot share GP with a kids account to do coop unless I have an actual xbox. What the fuck kind of shit is that? Also I cant ever login to the kids accounts again because I forgot the passwords and they don't allow password recovery to the parents account because Microsoft. People who buy into this because of the ad will be kind of pissed off because in its current state, it is not a viable solution.

There’s really an entire generation of dorks who work at these companies now that genuinely do not understand why consoles were so cool.

They seem desperate to suck all of the perceived value out of consumer experience as they possibly can.

It was such a special thing as a teenager or a kid “in the day” to get a console. I guess that’s dead now.

Saying people like Sony because the PS4 was great like 5 years ago like it's riding some goodwill from users, even though this is the same year they got Helldivers 2, Astrobot, FFVII Rebirth, Silent Hill 2 Remake, Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, etc...as console exclusives between 1st and 3rd party studios while Xbox released stuff like Hellblade 2 is wild to me.

The market is simply backing the right choice. Specially since most Xbox games will be on Playstation now as well. It's a no brainer.

The problem is that Microsoft made a lot of mistakes and burned a lot of bridges, for the last 2 generations.
All the good will they garnered from gamers during the original Xbox and the X360, is wearing very thin.

I remember kids in Algebra class loading up games on their TI Graphing calculators and always wanted to know how they were doing it. NGL, it seemed kinda neat for the time.

If Game Pass were such a great value, why hasn't the sub count grown in a way to reflect that? Why are Series console sales so low this gen?

But if they were going "all in", why aren't PlayStation and Nintendo in the ad? Why not a Steamdeck? I know MS would need approval from those companies and there's a good chance all three of them said "No!" even if they were approached, but they could've found a clever way around it.

Like say, just have PS5 & Switch versions of their games and say "You can play these on an Xbox". Or something. The thing probably holding them back from doing it is, ironically, their own current business strategy. They're still technically selling Series S & X as traditional consoles competing with PS & Switch, so I doubt SIE & Nintendo want to give Xbox hardware free publicity or confuse their own customers who stumble across the ad wondering what TF is going on.

I'm not saying MS have to stop with gaming hardware, but if they want to really sell this "Xbox is everything" idea then they have to get to a point where they can mention PlayStation and Nintendo just like they can Asus or Samsung. And in order to do that, they can't have a product on the market selling on a business model that still competes directly with SIE or Nintendo.

So, I'm really interested to see what they do with Series X & S over the next year because I think they're going to cease production. Doesn't mean they'll stop supporting those systems, but I can see them opening them up to a more Windows-like experience to bring them closer in line with whatever they do for future gaming hardware. And that future hardware would basically be sold more a PC device in terms of the business model, maybe leveraging Game Pass in some way as a soft subsidizer for lower-(upfront) cost SKUs.

Because if they did that, then there'd really be no issue pushing Day 1 across Xbox hardware, PC, PS & Nintendo, and they wouldn't have hardware competing directly with PlayStation & Nintendo anymore, either.

Notice i didnt say anything negative about playstation. I love my ps5. Just said its d ride for them and xbox cant do anything right. Think its lame d riding nonsense

Ive played and completed the main story in starfield, game was so trash I couldnt be bothered with side content. Hellblade 2 is free on Youtube. Its not even a good movie lmfao.

Dont get mad at me for these trash games, i didnt make them. My bad i called Hellblade 2 a game, a movie i mean LOL.
