The incubation period is much more significant than the FLU. You can go more than 14 days being infectious without being symptomatic.

You can even be cleared and sent home after those 14 days and be misdiagnosed, only to discover you have it and that you infected others in the process.

And lastly, synthesizing a vaccine is going to be difficult without understanding how it mutates. It has high transmittance value. They aren't just locking people in place, their even seizing their cars as the virus stays on surfaces for up to 10 days.

Who does that over the FLU?

Then there are the non-health factors. Long and sustained travel bands will impact businesses and start to cripple any nation's economy.

So what you are saying is the PS5 is going to have 14 TeraFLUps?

Already feeling the love of Dreams, that game would be unpredictable with massive creations way better than the lovely LBG.

I'm still kind of mad Dreams took seven years to come out, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it still holds a lot of charm. Would consider picking it up on PC if it's optimized well.

Technically would consider picking it up w/ a PS5, but I need mouse and keyboard support for that kind of stuff, hands down. Hopefully PS5 fixes support for keyboard & mouse combos that use a single transceiver key over USB.

I remember spending like 4 months designing a very complicated vehicle that can move vertically and even upside-down on a building with a checkpoint/respawn point onboard, a canon, camera-attached missile launcher, and a driver room + missile operator room, lol. Loved the mechanics on LBP even though the first one was so hard to design in, later ones got better.

It'll not come to PC, already been confirmed by launch trailer stating clearly (PlayStation 4 Exclusive):

Before I go out to some of the amusement buildings I told TLZ TLZ about, as an extreme Sony fan, I hope MS cancels Lockhart and releases XSX-only games much faster. That doesn't only hurt Xbox gamers, but PS5, and PC gamers. The gaming industry has had enough restraints with last gen, we hope both consoles be as high as possible in terms of specs. I will NOT be happy if PS5 being 12-14TF and Xbox is sitting around 9TF, I would actually be pissed because that will 100% have some effects on gaming in general. Having both systems around 12TF or more is sensible for anyone eager to see the true leap into next gen.

EDIT: I wanted to say that I'm not neutral, I HATE MICROSOFT, but I'm happy for the competition as PS4 won't be as this great this generation if not MS chasing it around and Nintendo thrown to the mix.

Has anyone brought up the fact that Sony had an underperforming GPU in PS4s' development KITs until very late in development? I always felt that as a way to boycott and confuse Microsoft, but maybe I'm seeing too much. But, what if Sony did let leak fake specs on purpose twice?

Well at least you’re honest.

Realistically, expect both machines to be closer than they were last gen. But the best thing for everybody all round is that no one machine is way ahead. That would be dreadful.

Might sound funny to say, but I hate Microsoft because of Windows, mainly. I've had insane problems with their garbage OS since Windows 95. BUT the Windows 10 is a huge step into the right direction. I hope to see Chrome OS, Harmony OS, Ubuntu being more mature and get full support from devs. In the meantime I'm happy with how much "better" the 10 is.

Nah you people needs to remember 3rd party games will always scales across the different systems from high to low also their is a budget to 3rd party studio and they will work with that budget to give you their vision

I don't disagree with that, actually we all know that. But it's been always like 1-2 years then the industry moves on as a whole. Having XboX One for 2 years as an anchor then Lockhart later on is not healthy for true next gen experiences. Some companies jump into next-gen from the beginning like Ubisoft to snatch more buyers with the lack of competition during the early days of a new generation.

There's a difference between creating a game for one console/powerful consoles and their ability and creating a game for scaling. It's just like watching a movie in 3D tht wasnt created with 3D in mind as opposed to one using all the 3D cameras and techniques. If a game isn't targeting higher spec machines then something won't be added tht could have been because the lower spec machine might not be able to pull off. Everything isn't about just resolutions fps.

Ubisoft releases cross gen games like every one else.

There is no such thing as “hold games back”

Stop repeating it.

No

That's what I wrote. I was obviously talking about high end components at 400$, not just about the price, because I expect 400$ price point just with slower components.

We already know of high-end components such as Ray-Tracing, audio chip and a super powerful SSD. Considering the PS4 Pro is $399 you can expect PS5 to above that figure on those parts alone.

The suspected specs of lockheart have it as a 1080p variant of the SX, with the same cpu and ssd, just with less ram due to not needing as much because of the resolution drop.

It should, in theory anyway, allow the exact same games and experiences, with no cut backs in any way.

I still hope they can it, myself. But worrying it will make SX games look bad isnt warranted.

To be honest Ray Tracing has nothing to do with price gouging, that'a Nvidia, Ps4 pro component are dated, very cheap.
Ps5 price depends on the specs, if they go 399$ (low TF) ps4pro gonna drop to 180$ or something.

Shadow of Mordor Nemesis system was removed from last gen because it wasn’t possible. I can’t think of another example.

I think underestimating PS5's SSD isn't wise. I've installed a 5400rpm 2TB. The original one says SATA 3.0GB/s

16x9.jpg

Even the Pro version, mine says SATA 6GB/s interface like this one:

And I remember my friends asking me how I respawn most of the time the first between all of the 32 members on Battlefield 4, BF1. Put in mind I'm playing on European servers with 150-180 ping as well. I would believe input lags should be minimized as well. Even this one and mine are considered very weak compared to new HDD's like from WD that reached 256MB/s read/write numbers, compared to old fashion SSD's at 512MB/s!
Not 3GB/s or 6GB/s but 3Gb/s and 6Gb/s

I dunno. I mean, developers have opinions too. If they feel something is restricting them, even if it really isn't but it's just something new, they'll chafe at it a bit. And this direction from MS is definitely new. Wouldn't be the first time someone complained about EITHER Sony or MS and their developer programs. Doesn't make it seem 'fake' to me, at least.

It does puzzle me that they could include PS3 compatibility. The cell and architecture of that machine would have to be hard to emulate without using the hardware and I can't imagine including a cell processor on the PS5 board so it could run PS3 games! Cost alone would be prohibitive, I'd think. But we'll see. Maybe all the BC will be based on PS Now or something new but like that? It's a possibility. PS4 BC I would think would be fairly easy due to the similar architectures being used and if they keep that model, having BC going forward shouldn't be a huge deal. We shall see....

Yeah running the game without a patch is a red flag for me different arch and api's

Well Sony sure as hell didn't leak the github test that would be illegal as it showed some ARDEN/Sparkman test also unreleased AMD products.

Stop posting fanboy twitters, it adds nothing to the discussion.
Having to wade through rubbish posts of twitter fanboys? Nah fam, i'd rather use the ignore function to filter out the rubbish.
They're definitely gonna show some PS5 version footage in that stream. Wait's almost over, folks.
I seriously doubt that.

They will show footage on high end PC yes but not anything running on PS5.

There's definitely more we just won't know. I mean the last guardian couldn't even exist bcus ps3 was too weak so thy held it off. Thts not scaling but the point stands, more powerful consoles can do more than least powerful ones and if your not making a game to a hardwares full potential things will be cut or not thought of bcus of other console limitations.

It's not a hard concept idk why some ppl don't understand this.

This already looks better than the other next-gen videos we’ve seen so far.

like ? what other games ?
$399 isn’t possible. You’re forgetting RAM, GPU, CPU and many other extras. That’s a hell of an upgrade on the Pro, there’s no way it’d match that current RRP.
If they are targeting 399$ then it's gonna be a 9-TF count, 16Gb Ram, etc...
cpu, gpu ? you mean apu.
Since they buy 100+ million of component they pay less than a regular consumer + cutting middle men etc...
people didnt expected to get the ps4 at 399 with 8gddr5 of ram at the time, you might think it cost alot but it doesnt.

The regular PS4 still isn't $199 they're not gonna suddenly lop off over 50% of the pro price. Ideally at the PS5 event they would say PS5 is powerful but $500, and announce price cuts for Pro to $300 and slim to $200

Nice tiers depending on what you want and they could get a nice final bump in PS4 sales before the 5 launches

We’ve only seen two games right?
Godfall and Outriders? Those.

$399 is impossible excluding whatever you think the GPU will be, again the PS4 Pro is $399 today and features just 8GB RAM and a Jaguar CPU.

I'm expecting them to launch at 399 in some fashion (maybe smaller ssd). I might be wishfully thinking, but my gut says that PS5 is way too important for Sony's long term outlook to risk its market share for any reason. Sp I do think they will subsidize at some level up front to protect those subscriptions and royalties. I know MS can afford subsidizing more so than Sony if it wants to, but I just don't see gaming being as significant to MS.

I would love to see an updated BOM for both the PS4 and PS4 Pro, they have to be making an great profit at this point on both systems.

I'm discussing what it would be to drop ps5 at 399$, if it's more powerful than 9Tf then it gonna cost more, and i have no problem with that, more power = the better the experience.
Note : im talking in general, i don't wanna open a 30 page debate about sony exclusives destroys microsoft.

i mean

this is running real time folks (in game next gen graphics will look like this) depending on the resolution.
If you want a beast console, 399$ is out of the equation, i just discussed the idea of what a 399$ will offer (-9tf).
Ps4 price wont drop until a next generation product is out, this is how they make huge margins on products people.
