Feel like I'm going to have anxiety booting up the game. My excitement since its reveal in December 2016 is finally about to reach an all time high. And not only that, just jumping back into TLoU world but on next gen (I know first TLoU was remastered but this game is just going to be dripping with realisation and detailed trinkets from the ground up) is going to immerse me the fuck in. And then on top of that........!!!!!........... just surviving in the game is gonna my heart pump. .................................. canny wait!

Theres nothing good about the game so I'm not sure why I'd do that, but thanks for the input. Its precisely because its terrible that I've put it in easy and essentially enjoyed it as what it was. There are much, much better games oriented around stealth / survival / shooting, and to this day the AI is still garbage so yeah ...

For me the sweet spot is the survival difficulty, it really give me nice challenge and made each encounters very engaging.

It's because listen mode also picks up the dog's scent trail. That's a game mechanic and so has to be there. Maybe they'll patch in an option to turn everything off BUT scent trails. That would solve the issue.

Yeah, generslly looking to see how gruesome it is as well lol. I used to think Resident Evil games had the most disgusting things or even something like that Alien coming out of that dude's chest in Alien: Covenant. I know its a different type of gore than what what you talked about

You can’t see fucking scent trails in real life, can you? So why not have an option to turn off EVERYTHING?

Whoa, I just bought one myself. I almost went online but I had a discount I could use and knew that local stores had at least a couple in stock. I hope it arrives in time for you. I'm interested if they'll have a setting for the headset app. Some of them sound fantastic.

I guess. IIRC, it was on one of the shoulder buttons for the original, hard to mistakenly hit. I think people just don't want the option to spare them the temptation in tough spots. I'm not using it for scent trails, I'm killing those mofos.

Well in the original game the listen mode wasn't all that necessary to be honest, when I was playing the survival and Grounded mode I never felt I need the listen mode. My guess is in Part 2 its actually is much more necessary tool.

I’m charging my Pulse headphones I’ve had since they launched. The headphone app has a bunch of game profiles. Haven’t checked to see if they have TLoU2 on there or not.

The listen mode was a crutch for casuals, the game was clearly balanced for not needing it. I hope this supernatural voodo is not considered 'grounded' in part 2.

Agreed. There's a huge degree of dynamics to tracking by scent that allows for tons of experimentation and that the game should indicate through context in the world. I don't want to have a clue as to where my scent is lingering explicitly shown. Listening mode removes all the fun IMO.

All I know is that Grounded will be saved for the PS5! First run either Normal or Hard. I fear normal will be too easy now after getting the Plat for every Uncharted/TLOU game for me, I'll just cry outside the shiv doors if I can't get in.
