You scared?A 5 year old Tegra and garbage bin LCD ain't gonna be no $500, come'on man.
Agree. These guys are going to make millions of them unlike whatever competition they make be compared to in the PC space. Steam Deck has sold multiple millions but it's not on the level of a console or Nintendo handheld.Anything higher than $399 will be a tough call for Nintendo despite whatever other people says.
Oh course it will, Nintendo has their profit margins to protect.A 5 year old Tegra and garbage bin LCD ain't gonna be no $500, come'on man.
I think they can get away with $399+ initially.499$ will be a disaster for Nintendo.

Steam Deck at $399 is possibly losing money. I don’t think Nintendo will do the same, they’ll go for margins, that’s why I think the system won’t be as powerful as many still believe.Agree. That's why I expect Nintendo to get better margins and anything over 400 would be too much.
People had the 3DS as reference, but since it’s an hybrid and it launched with a lot of decent software people really dig into it.People thought the same with the current price point for the switch.

And they also launched a model at $200 when the system was at around 2 years and a half.
going for a system at $399 or higher will be a high risk this time.
I bought a Jap switch on ebay for my nieces when they were hardish to get. Not scalper priced, 300 or so in November 2017. I could see a lot of people flipping them on ebay if they truly are 30% less.Just seen a summary from Joseki on installbase and this isn't based on any inside knowledge from Hideki:
Nintendo Q1 in line with expectations
- Personally forecasting 12.5m Switch shipped this FY but matching Nintendo forecast (13.5m) not impossible
- Stronger yen and panic reaction from investors can affect future stock movement (strong yen can cause stock price to drop)
- Switch 2 expected H1 next year and under $499.99 (no inside info, just reporting the rumors)
- Speculates Switch 2 price in Japan will be around 30% cheaper than the equivalent US price
- Such a price would stimulate exports
This is likely one of the factors making Switch and PS5 sales high in Japan right now.I bought a Jap switch on ebay for my nieces when they were hardish to get. Not scalper priced, 300 or so in November 2017. I could see a lot of people flipping them on ebay if they truly are 30% less.
I'd also question the fact it seems they will miss Q1 for the launch but a launch in April-June is risky because they will face the inevitable loss of momentum due to the summer months just after launch. When these situations happen usually things are delayed to fall in September.
Doubtful. I'll be surprised if it beats the current ROG Ally. It'll be about PS4 level with maybe some basic raytracing capabilities since it's nvidia. To be honest that's plenty powerful to make great games and the battery life will be much better than a ROG Ally but the thing is that Nintendo will vastly overcharge for it like they always do. Also, expect the cheapest, shittiest screen possible for the initial model. This thing is going to be more powerful than many think.
I hope

With a 499 usd price tag the target audience would be older on average, not many parents will spend so much money on a new console for their child.
But hey, Nintendo said they want to meet demand and avoid a similar scalper situation, wit a price tag of 499 they will archive that goal and once there are more consoles than demand, they can lower the price…
The regular model launched at $300, while the OLED model released at $350.Yeah, I think it will be around 499$. Switch is still 399$ right?
Ppl are going crazy about ps5pr0, and that will be revealed in under a month, u got over 6 months left to reveal alone, 9+ to launch, so tighten ur sitbelt, it will be hell of a ride for all ninny fansI’m tired of all the switch pro and switch 2 rumors at this point… It’s not going to feel real when this thing finally comes out.
Oh I see. Then 450$ at least would make sense for Switch 2.The regular model launched at $300, while the OLED model released at $350.
My bet is no one knows nothing about it really. Just speculation based on common sense.I’m tired of all the switch pro and switch 2 rumors at this point… It’s not going to feel real when this thing finally comes out.
