if it performs as well as a 4080 Super, for half the price, that is a great deal, because without frame gen I'm not sure the 5080 is that much better than the 4080S yet. This might actually putreal price pressure on Nvidia for the first time in what, 10 years? If only...

Actually it's very smart. If you look at stats, high end $1000-2000 cards account for very little of the PC gamer audience. Best to focus on the mid-range where interest is very high.

Me with a 4090 and maybe a 5090 (soon) praises this. If they come out swinging next gen with a high end offering or just worry about the modest mid range segment, it can be a win for everyone. nvidia is already adjusting its pricing from the last gen on the new 5xxx series. The 5090 is the outlier as its above everything by a bit.

I didn't read all the hype about this. The price makes it very appealing. Have they improved the Ray Tracing capabilities on the Radeon cards? I got to say games like Cyberpunk look like eye sex with the ray tracing on.

It hardly matters what they can or cannot afford, Nvidia set the 5070 price at $549 so they can't go higher than that

Nvidias high-end cards aren't just used for gaming. They will sell bucketloads to people who need the compute power without spending 15k for a workstation card.

That 9070 base w 16gb, good upscaling, rt sufficient for the games coming that require it (tend to be on the lighter side), for $400... If they can do that it's on like donkey kong.

RT and FSR seemed to have also been improved quite a bit. It’s going ti be super interesting to see real reviews come end of Jan.

And yeah, if this thing is close to a 4080S/5070Ti for $500, it’s a no brainer.

We have not seen any prices. All I am saying if a card is advertised at $500 in US, EU $600 price makes sense.
