AMD announces FSR4, available “only on Radeon RX 9070 series”

Why does AMD suck so much at selling their products? Like show a 1.5kg Strix Halo 13-14" laptop running some game and say you'll be able to get console-like experience in that form factor. Instead they spend 5 minutes just showing a bunch of graphs.
Nvidia conference is going to suck all the air out of the room for AI and graphics. Even if the coverage is negative over pricing, it won’t even matter at this point. lol.

They only said that FSR4 was coming to CoD, and that was basically it.
No release date, no info about what GPUs or consoles are supported, what improvements it brings, no comparisons with FSR 3.1, nothing.
They might as well said nothing at all.
Sounds very informative. Good job, Matthew Vernon Booty.

Wow...

Maybe theyre waiting for NV to show their hand. I'm 90% certain its just AMD being AMD though. God help us.

AMD might as well not bother announcing the 9000 series later on in q1, because most people who were going to buy a GPU will just buy a 5000 series.AMD are really fucking thick

AMD could have the absolute best hardware ever, and still their marketing department would find a way to screw up the presentation. What a bunch of muppets.

Been saying for years that AMD marketing is AMD's worse enemy

How many people are realistically in the market for a 9070/9060 card anyway? We already know they're mid-tier cards. There doesn't seem to be as much pent-up demand for that side of the market. The frustration seems to be the higher end where they don't have any products at the moment.

Also, dragging some dude from Dell Enterprise onto CES stage to talk about AI…

Edit: At this point Jensen can show up to Nvidia conference with a jar of spatulas and it will still be more engaging than whatever this shit is. Oh and AI.

How the fuck has AMD not won the contract for Microsoft's Stargate yet is beyond me. $100B project for AI supercomputer, how do you not win by just being lowest price than Nvidia and not announce it already.

Mid-tier cards are simply the largest portion of hardware in the PC Gaming market.

No price announcement for 9950x3d or 9070/9070xt?
No detailed information regarding FSR4 and whatnot? Performance comparisons?

Quite disappointed as I'm not looking into to purchase a laptop at the moment...

Isn’t the GPU coming out in a few weeks?

That's looking unlikely

They could always pull the "watch Nvidia conference" and price accordingly, not wanting to be first, but that would still be a product launch without FSR4 clearly as its not ready to be shown.

I don't think these GPUs even exist yet. Rumors said that manufacturing would begin in mid-December.
We don't have many leaks of these GPUs, no more in-depth specs, nor photos of the PCB.

From Nvidia we already have practically everything.

They didn't announce the 9070 though,so I wonder wtf is going on
Videocardz had press slides, so that’s basically what the media outlets are going off of I think. No other details or specs. I think they are waiting for nvidia to set the prices so AMD can respond with where their cards slot in.

It’s a joke imo.

This is why we get the prices we get from Nvidia. Hopefully Intel can overtake AMD and provide some real competition.

I don't get it

AMD was part of all direct X consortiums that defined the current GPU trends since like what, 2017 or so?

Imagine this as a classroom for an exam

Nvidia was done within 5 mins because Nvidia basically knew the answer already and actually gave the questions to the teacher
AMD was sleeping in the back of the room, skipped a gen (5000 series), came with some hybrid solution that ended up having to be completely rewritten and still hasn't put on paper what makes an AI upscaler
Intel came in 5 mins before the end of an exam, isn't super performing but nailed what makes ML & AI solution on first try

Intel is more dangerous if they don't just derp the company into oblivion with how CPU side is going

Remember this announcement? Same price as a 2080. This is when I knew to stop taking AMD serious in regards to GPUs.

DLSS 3.5 has AI Reconstruction Raytracing.
Oh, does it? And dafuq that means ,exactly?

Does it have AI Turbo version of Poopybutthole too?

Does it do other amazing things like opening chakra's?

Exactly what needs to happen to prevent gamer brains from vibrating when they come across meaningless marketing buzzwords?
Reconstruction, my fucking bottom. DLSS1 did that. No, it didn't quite work.
Nothing hints at glorified TAA derivatives using NNs for anything besides denoising.

The idiocy aura, I guess induced by DF, surrounding anything not coming from The Filthy Green, but in particular anything that rivals it is peculiar.

Sure sure, one needs Jensen Huang's leadership to use some neural network for denoising. It is such an amazing technology, known for merely more than a decade, that it is not even remotely imaginable that AMD would do it on its own.

I did done tell you guys.

AMD aren't going to strike first with a price. They will wait for Nvidia to anchor the price/performance tiers and then pitch their products along that curve.

Also, if you guys think Jensen won't spend time talking about AI, when Nvidia is THE AI company, then I have a 5090-shaped bridge to sell you.
