Well guess I'll skip it in theatres like I did mos

I'm not surprised. I hate Snyder. 300 was 1 of 2 movies I ever fell asleep in theatre to. Right in the action.

I do like watchmen a bit. His only redemption for me.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the Marvel flicks. Own them all. But they're all basically the same movie, structurally. Except for Winter Soldier. That movie fucking rocked.

Ant-Man fits right in.

Half of those panels don't even apply to the point the row is trying to make. ie: When did Pepper walk out on Tony at the end of IM1? How are Thor and Loki's powers similar?

Still don't get the massive hype Winter Soldier receives over other movies. Like, I don't at all understand why people rate it so much higher and give it so much more respect than other comic movies.

I mean yeah, it's clearly better than Thor 2 and similar films, but the amount of praise it generates on this forum especially is baffling.

Good Action scenes and coreography (that aren't CG sequences) in a category that often lacks that.

On Age of Ultron: I enjoyed it, I think it had some glaring flaws but the good far outweighed the bad. The major problem I had with it was that Ultron himself wasn't terribly sinister, funny, nor interesting - unfocused. And I never felt that there was anyway the Avengers could lose, let alone come to an ambivalent or pyrrhic victory. Of course they had to win, all of the stakes were simply too high.

But suggesting it's a bad film, or even merely mediocre, I think is being overly critical.

You guys really think that WB will care for the reviews on what to do about the future of the DCEU? WB only got one thing on their minds and it isn't reviews.

raw

honestly if WB were to do anything drastic from the reception to BvS, it should be to just ditch the world building idea and do stand alone stories. Remove the baggage of needing everything to fit in together and let talented filmmakers take their shot at a super hero, even let them do crazy Elseworlds type of shit.

WB should of locked in Ryan Coogler before Marvel stole him away.

both studios were being insulting enough to only offer him the black hero movies anyways.

if offered freaking cyborg or black panther i'd take the latter too. not like either option is gonna do much for my career (if i was a rising director lol) except get my name out for more fans anyways.

Wow sounds like a real steaming pile.

The trailers looked fucking awful, so at least I didn't get my hopes up.

I have to think they basically said 'what project do you want?' and Coogler was all 'ay gimme Black Panther, I'm gonna fuck up EVERYBODY'

I don't think this film should be used as a condemnation of the entire DCEU. Suicide Squad looks pretty good, and if I'm not mistaken Wonder Woman has some pretty good talent behind it. But WB definitely needs to reconsider JL at this point, even if Batman guides this film to over $1B.

Exactly, everyone can shit on it but it won't matter if it makes bank.

We're getting 3 more fucking transformers movies.

They are saying its better than MoS, and thats what everyone here keeps whining about, so it sounds like a "win" to me.

Im still excited. Reviewer's picks often dont match up to my tastes in movies.

I want a Gaslight series. Holy fuck that would be amazing. Borrow styles from Bloodborne.

Am I the only one who liked Thor 2 better than Thor? Neither are actually any good, but I was less bored with Thor 2 than the first. The climax/"villain" in Thor 1 is abysmal.
I enjoyed Thor 2 more than Thor, though I really like both. They're fun movies, and Thor as a character pleases me.

Every story follows a formula.

Marvel's work may have a formula, but most of their films are entertaining and work well on their own right.

Also, most of the studio's output has been critically and financially well received.

As I said, I enjoy the movies. It seems like I watch at least one of them each weekend with my kids.

I'm not saying they're bad movies. They've made more money than god with their formula. Right on, more power to them. But at the end of the day they're almost the same movie. I'm glad DC/WB is trying to do their own thing. If it fails... well that sucks for us all but at least they didn't try and copy+paste what Marvel does.

Suicide Squad DOES look fantastic. I wonder how this is going to pan out. Snyder has already committed character assassination with Batman in this one. The well is poisoned from the get go.

no way. all the rumored directors being approached for black panther were black. that's likely the only thing they offered him.

same goes for wonder woman and a woman director. it's easy to see through this, i bet WB were only offering him cyborg. as a sort of political move. i'd say no to that shit too tbh. especially with creed's success.

Will drop pants for Sony.
WB has George Miller, James Wan, David Ayer, Justin Lin and Ben Affleck on speed dials.
I think they'll be fine.

Then why Synder? Get George Miller, the latest mad max movie was awesome.

And they are still better than Man of Steel.

So if it sucks, is this Snyder's fault, WB's fault, Goyer's fault, or Terrio's fault? The movie originally wasn't going to have more than Batman and Superman, so automatic WB fault on that point. But it takes more than one person to make a movie. Snyder is pretty good at shooting the page and not much else.

I honestly feel like I'd like the movie even with it's terrible reviews. Thought MoS was good for the most part and I've never really cared for Superman and thus give zero fucks about getting him 'right'.

I'm pretty much just interested in this because of Batman and from what I've heard a lot of people seem to think that part is good.

Now that I've said that, though, I bet I'll hate Batfleck.

Am I the only motherfucker who liked Age of Ultron?!?!

LIES
Age of Ultron underwhelmed, but has some really great scenes. I liked it, but it certainly didn't live up to my initial expectations. But on rewatches, I've liked it more due ton taking it for what it is.

I'm still going to see BvS, but I haven't been excited for this movie at all, and I even enjoyed MoS.

Hell you think that's bad, look at the recent action films trying to be Death Wish.

Damn. Disney dropping that affirmative action tech. Coogler don't need it.
And this shit cost me Creed 2 as well, fuck

Looks like he's good at shooting feet too.
