I bet you think Iron Man 1/2 are better than 3, right? Not liking Thor 2 should be a litmus test to see who isn't trust worthy.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the Marvel flicks. Own them all. But they're all basically the same movie, structurally. Except for Winter Soldier. That movie fucking rocked.
Ant-Man fits right in.
You can distill any film in any genre to be the same if you break it down like that.

Why not? The movie should still make a considerable amount of money, and most of the reviews seem to praise the cast so there is still some potential there. It's just the director (and the original screenwriter) is fucking shit; Goyer is already gone, get rid of Snyder and WB might have themselves a stew going.

there's some gems in that review but i had to skim cause of spoilers. his opinion on affleck's batman is very high at least.

On Thor 2: Whilst bad, it at least has funny moments. Man of Steel is humorless and a bad movie, if a movie makes you smile it's easier to find redeemable qualities.
On AOU: Lots of people like the movie, critically it did 'middle of the road' but hyperbole is rife, I guess.
Hoping that I still like this movie, given that I hated Man of Steel though, I'm not sure.

Still don't get the massive hype Winter Soldier receives over other movies. Like, I don't at all understand why people rate it so much higher and give it so much more respect than other comic movies.

Cavill looks like he found out about the reviews just as the photo was being taken.
AoU was good, but had neither moments that excelled, or moments that were flat out terrible. The party sequence, Hulkbuster, and the Vision/Ultron scene at the end were probably the best parts of the movie. The worst part being how bad the CG on Ultron was in some scenes.

They both have got a herculean task in delivering an epic Infinity War Sequel Chapters back to back. Age of Ultron was forgettable, wasn't particularly exciting. Too many characters had to be introduced, villain felt under-developed. Avengers 1 was fun and memorable from the start till the end.

Why are people wanting to cancel their tickets over the opinions of a select few? If you've already paid and have the tickets you may as well go see it. Hell people hated on The Labyrinth and yet its now considered a cult classic in Bowie's long line of classics.

Marvel's work may have a familiar formula, but most of their films are entertaining and work well on their own right.
Also, most of the studio's output has been critically and financially well received.
