"I was almost Finn in Star Wars. I was almost Finn in Star Wars. I was (fuck) almost Finn (goddammit) in (fucking) Star Wars (motherfucker)"

😂😂😂

Yikes, much worse then I was expecting. I fell for the early movie hype, dammit!

Ah well, still got Civil War to look forward to atleast.

Will drop pants for Sony.
I don't care how bad BvS is, I cannot condone people defending Thor 2. What if children were reading this forum, you sick bastards?

Least Loki was good in it...the parts he was in.

I wonder if this will hurt Ben Affleck's Batman movie.

Nothing will hurt the next batman movie i think. That's one character WB has right. Now they need to un-Batman Superman's character.

Somebody check on Kevin Smith. I hope he's ok.

Kevin Smith? someone check on Angry Joe.

Right...

And, I guess critics giving more than favorable reviews to the entire Nolan Batrilogy was just a fluke? Maybe, just maybe these recent out puttings by DC are simply shit.

The Nolan Trilogy is a perfect example of a superhero movie doing something differently and succeeding, perhaps partly because it's so detached from the feel and tone of the comics that inspired it, which the Marvel movies feel more like on-screen to me. BvS looks like a movie, and this is just how I've been processing it through previews and trailers, that is trying to balance both extremes of something that the Marvel movies did and the Nolan movies did but maybe not hitting all the right notes along the way.

I don't think reviews saying it's lacking levity are trying to compare it to the MCU.

I think they're expecting a movie about flying people in tights fighting a giant rage monster shouldn't be SUPER SERIOUS all the time.

Plus maybe it tries to be funny like Avengers and every line just flops. Snyder has never had good punch-up writers for his stuff.

Edit their posts to make them say how much they loved Age of Ultron.

PLEASE. I can't be alone.

I think it has some good-to-great stuff wrapped in a less structurally sound package. It has more nuance than its predecessor but isn't paced well enough to let that stand-out. It doesn't have its predecessor's rock solid structure.

Yeah, I like the first Avengers alot. Cap's costume was bad and the lighting was kind of flat, but I liked it dammit. Sue me.

Am I the only one who liked Thor 2 better than Thor? Neither are actually any good, but I was less bored with Thor 2 than the first. The climax/"villain" in Thor 1 is abysmal.

I'm more of a Marvel fan but literally the only parts of that movie I can defend are Thor and Loki being Thor and Loki together and the few seconds the final fight seems cool. What bland, forgettable movie.

I really liked AoU. Not as much as the first Avengers but I really dug it. James Spader was an excellent choice to voice Ultron and the conversation he has with Vision at the end was really great. I hope that's not the last we see of him.

I'm not too surprised with the reviews...

Movie is still gonna make a lot o' moolah, which is all they care about I suppose.

I'll be seeing it Friday, lol

Uh... Not really?

Like they're obviously similar being origin stories of technology-based superheroes, and both have similar villains, but beyond that I can't really say they're the same movie.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the Marvel flicks. Own them all. But they're all basically the same movie, structurally. Except for Winter Soldier. That movie fucking rocked.

Ant-Man fits right in.

Watchmen is top 5 comic book movie ever. Man of Steel still has the best fight scenes in comic book movie history...The guy can direct, let's continue to be armchair analysts though.

If the film is really no good, i will put the blame on WB for trying to shoehorn more characters and plot lines than necessary in a film. Why not let the DCU develop organically?
No the hell it doesn't. Aside from the woman sliding around really fast, most of the fights consisted of people getting punched really far.

"Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" is state of the art epic superhero filmmaking. That's a compliment if you prefer these movies to be ponderous, disorganized and glum, but a warning if you prefer tonal variation from film to film and scene to scene, and have a soft spot for storytelling that actually tells, you know, a story, as opposed to doing an occasionally inspired but mostly just competent job of setting up the next chapter in a Marvel-styled franchise.

Sounds alright.

I can't sue someone who sees the light.
No but you're the only person who likes Ultimate incest and cannibalism.

Well I can't help but recognize greatness when I see it. The Ultimate Universe is a treasure. Best Spider-Man, best Avengers, best everything.

WB: [lying in a hospital bed] We were in this together, and then you were gone.

Nolan: Nolan wasn't needed anymore. We won.

WB: Based on a lie. Now this evil... rises from where we tried to bury it. Nolan has to come back.

Nolan: What if he doesn't exist any more?

WB: He must... he must...
