Half of those panels don't even apply to the point the row is trying to make. ie: When did Pepper walk out on Tony at the end of IM1? How are Thor and Loki's powers similar?

Also, many non-Marvel studios superhero films would fit straight into this figure. Hell, a lot of non-superhero action flicks probably would to some extent as well.

You know what, fuck it! I want to enjoy the shit out of this movie. I want something that is far removed from the same, tired, formulaic tripe we've been getting from the MCU. The genre is getting a little stale at this point, outside of films like DoFP that show some actual, you know, heart and subtext instead of just coming off an assembly line to make way for the next assembly line product.

Even if this is utter, incoherent trash...at least it will have failed while taking some risks in an inane and hilarious attempt to be "bold".

no way. all the rumored directors being approached for black panther were black. that's likely the only thing they offered him.

same goes for wonder woman and a woman director. it's easy to see through this, i bet WB were only offering him cyborg. as a sort of political move. i'd say no to that shit too tbh. especially with creed's success.

Hell, Wonder Woman looked for a female director because it's about a woman. You know Marvel is gonna do the same with Cap Marvel but they need to find someone with a good resume.

Age of Ultron underwhelmed, but has some really great scenes. I liked it, but it certainly didn't live up to my initial expectations. But on rewatches, I've liked it more due ton taking it for what it is.

I'm still going to see BvS, but I haven't been excited for this movie at all, and I even enjoyed MoS.

Same. It's problem is there's kind of a tone conflict between the movie as a whole and Ultron himself, who starts off serious but ends up being a kid with daddy (Stark) issues. There's some very nice character development and great action scenes though. It's certainly not a disaster. Just underwhelming, I guess.

I guess in the end it still works because I care about the characters. Something I'm not sure I'll be able to say when I eventually see BvS

Where the fuck do you people go to watch movies, I've seen people say 50-80 bucks for going to see it

Go by yourself, abandon your family
Go on the discount night or in the morning
Go to a ghetto theater so you see people sneaking in entire buckets of fried chicken and/or start vaping
ENJOY

To think a Deadpool movie would be rated higher and liked by most than a Batman V Superman film in this day and age.

Oh how times have changed. Oh well I'm still going to watch the movie.

I feel so bad for the people here bragging about buying those $100 metal movie tickets.

DON'T DO 3D ARCLIGHT FOR FAMILIES OR LARGE GROUP OF FRIENDS

THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING (for your wallet)

WB: [lying in a hospital bed] We were in this together, and then you were gone.

Nolan: Nolan wasn't needed anymore. We won.

WB: Based on a lie. Now this evil... rises from where we tried to bury it. Nolan has to come back.

Nolan: What if he doesn't exist any more?

WB: He must... he must...

Nolan:
You do not fear trying to copy anything, you think this makes your movies strong? It makes them weak.

WB: Why?

Nolan: How can you make the best film franchise, attract the most loyal fanbase without the most basic requirements of a film, a good story and director.

WB: We do fear a bad story. We fear making another Green Lantern while our dream of a Justice League dies and there is no filmmaker to save it.

Nolan: Then make the film franchise.

WB: *laughter* How?

Nolan: As I did, without a guide to copy. Make the franchise without trying to emulate Marvel, then fear will find you again.

Maybe DC will pull another knee-jerk reaction but in the opposite direction. They go to full camp mode and make DCU Batman Forever/Batman and Robin/Superman III & IV levels of tone.

Sounds awful at first, but just imagine the "so bad it's good" potential though.

I'd just be fucking happy if Marvel would announce who's playing Captain Marvel. I still believe the only reason they announced that movie was to calm down fans berating them after the Wonder Woman movie was made official. The constant post-poning makes me think it more.

Is it good? I have it on PS4, tried playing it for a bit but felt like I was playing the same thing again and word of mouth was all over the damned place. Just wondering if it's worth a legit shot.

if you like the series you'll like this. the bat-traversal is the best in the franchise imo. i actually liked the batmobile if only for diving into it driving a bit and then launching out super-high with the glide maaaaan

Go for it if you enjoyed the other games. It's story is iffy, but beyond that it's cool.

If you're paying more than $15 bucks for tickets and food you're doing it wrong.

I'll just chip in and say that the forced Batmobile missions will make you want to tear your hair out. The story is also rather predictable, and depending on your view of the turn it takes, can be awful. But the game is visually stunning and combat is still awesome.

Yeah I got to where you get the Batmobile, controls seemed weird. Like functional, it worked, but some of the button arrangement felt awkward.

The 2nd weekend will tell the whole story. This weekend is gonna be huge, no question. But the legs it has in the next few weeks are gonna dictate the entire narrative going forward.

I'm gonna laugh so fucking hard if it can't reach Deadpool's overall domestic gross.
