Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Why are devs still making games for last gen? The sales of those consoles are poor.
One small markets disc only sales are not an indication of anything.

Yes you stepped on a wire that alerts nearby enemies.Game is a masterpiece. I’m so hooked and absolutely loving it. Might be my goat.
Anyone know what the bell/chime noise is that plays sometimes?
Even PlayStation's Horizon did 30% on PS4 and 70% on PS5. And that was a crossgen game where the PS4 sku upgraded to the PS5 for free, meaning there's PS5 players out there that only bought the PS4 version for being cheaper. One small markets disc only sales are not an indication of anything.

Honestly I'm not sure when they planned these old gen versions that they expected so little sales from them
What’s interesting is that the sales were evenly split between the PS4 and PS5 with the PS4 version debuting slightly higher at 48K compared to the 43K for PS5 according to Famitsu. This won’t be a surprising result since the PS5 is facing a stock shortage and the sales of PS5 are nowhere near the PS4.
I feel like the only person who purchased this on disc, the other 9 people I know who purchased this game on Xbox went digital.
I guess I'm one of the rare people that still like to leave a game case on the shelf.
The UK market is irrelevant, the Japanese market isnt even worth talking about outside of pokemon and animal crossingLike I said, one small market is not an indication of anything.
The PS4 version of the game sold more in Japan compared to the PS5 version, but again, that's just one market.
Horizon Forbidden West Opens To Impressive Sales In Japan
Guerilla Games' Horizon Forbidden West had a great opening in Japan with more than 90K sales in its debut week on PS4 and PS5.twistedvoxel.com
Overall it makes complete sense why Sony doesn't want to let the last gen versions go. Even if all said it accounts for 40% of the sales and the PS5 version accounts for 60% of sales, that's still a massive chunk of sales on the last gen.

If you find something and don't complete it, use a marker, then assume anything visible on the map that doesn't have a marker is complete.I've basically lost track of where I'm supposed to be and reached the point where I'm walking around aimlessly. I keep going in dungeons only to find I've completed them. Is there a way to filter completed dungeons?
Off the top of my head, bosses that are easily more difficult than margitWhat boss from the other gamers was harder? Not even Orphan or Ludwig was this hard to me. So yeah, I’m calling BS on people pretending Margit isn’t hard.
ha , bit late for that as I've opened up about 3/4 of the map on 30 hours in.If you find something and don't complete it, use a marker, then assume anything visible on the map that doesn't have a marker is complete.
Just keep exploring, no need to go straight on the critical path. If you're not sure what to level, boost your vigor and endurance. Get str/dex to fulfill weapon prerequisites for something you want to use after finding it.Difficulty walls all around for me after the game feigned being fairly easy at the start. Man I suck, I can't even beat the first "real" boss the game nudges you toward. Though I got a couple side ones in caves/the world.
So because I can't seem to beat shit for progress I've been wandering the world and encountered all sorts of cool stuff and side stuff and PVP focused stuff and areas that I shouldn't be in just yet and so on and so forth so still having fun for now but dunno where to focus/improve to progress.
Yeah I'm just sprinting past everything and opening all the travel spots lol.ha , bit late for that as I've opened up about 3/4 of the map on 30 hours in.
This is gold for me. Been pumping everything into vigor. Question if I may.Just keep exploring, no need to go straight on the critical path. If you're not sure what to level, boost your vigor and endurance. Get str/dex to fulfill weapon prerequisites for something you want to use after finding it.
Weapons are generally all balanced, depending on your preferred playstyle. If you enjoy using it and it scales to your intended main stats then you're fine. There are regular weapons and special weapons, but they use different upgrade materials (smithing stones vs somber stones), so there's no point in holding out for something fancy. Use both. Basic weapons are viable for the entire game since they have a huge upgrade cap. This is gold for me. Been pumping everything into vigor. Question if I may.
Is it a waste to upgrade starting weapons or best to try and find an exotic and level that?
I took a dinner break at that boss due to rage buildup. I'm also running strength and using the Brick Hammer because it's ability gives a nice juicy R2 combo. It can be rather painful trying to get hits when bosses just don't stop attacking. Even more so when it's magic and you can't parry.second main boss is down. the Academy was a real struggle
what a bullshit fight too, going full strength build did me more harm than good
You can teleport to any Sites of Grace you've unlocked previously by opening your map. Does that work?
Ha ha…my experience as well. I spent a couple of hours in there. Did you make it to the boss? I almost missed the area that he’s located. He’s fucking hard as hell and the path to get to him is just as bad.
Thanks Boss. Much appreciated.Weapons are generally all balanced, depending on your preferred playstyle. If you enjoy using it and it scales to your intended main stats then you're fine. Like I already said: all of those were easier to me than Margit.Off the top of my head, bosses that are easily more difficult than margit
DS1
O&S
Manus
What ever the dragon is in DS1 DLC
Dual sanctuary guardians in the same DLC
Cant remember DS2 well enough
Abyss Watchers
Dark Eater
Sludge bro gywndoline
Pretty much any of main DLC bosses from DS3
Hell, there are many bosses in Eldenring that are already more difficult than Margit. He is a mid tier boss at best that people are simply not prepared for because they just B-line it for him.
Barely took 3 tries and I was barely around level 20-25.
No. Do it if it’s a decent weapon. I say the first straight sword you get is a solid weapon for the whole game if you have a pure str, a pure dex or a quality build. This is gold for me. Been pumping everything into vigor. Question if I may.

This is what I like most about this game. Just heading off in a direction I've never been in and sniffing around. Forced myself to not use the map and just use the compass. I stumbled across Castle Morne this way. A bit crazy for a beginner in these types of games lol but i'm up for the challenge. Finally after 10 hours the game finally clicked and feels amazing now. Was running around kinda lost in the 1st 10h with my starting gear and could not find any better weapon. The open world is not that great for starting the game, the game drops u in the middle of the map and tells u to go north, but once u find the 1st story boss u realize u are way to underpowered and need to explore somewhere else (I went south). But once you find the gear u like and level up a bit more, the world becomes much more enjoyable to explore.
The 1st 2 story bosses are down and im still level 30 with my starting armor, but having a great time exploring everething and challenging any enemy i find. Some still too OP to me.
It's a large enough, indeed very large sample size to confidently extrapolate from...One small markets disc only sales are not an indication of anything.
This is retail physical sales remember. PC is almost 100% digital.By that logic you could also ask why they make games for PC or Xbox but the fact is that the hardware is so much alike now that it's no reason not to make games for the older consoles.
Even though games sell more on PS5 at launch we haven't had any success stories about any PS5 only game yet.

The drop on the ps5 unsurprisingly was worse than the ps4

I would say Japan is a completely unique landscape and differs to the west. If you were to look to Japan you could proclaim Xbox is dead, but that's not the case in the rest of the world. UK consumer trends and culture in general are global in a sense.Right but then you can use the same logic for Horizon selling more in Japan as a large enough sample to justify continued cross-gen games.
Whelp.

Isn’t that just opening your map, hovering over a site of grace (save/refill spot) and selecting X to teleport toward it?No, I don't get that either haha.
