Elon Musk vs Asmongold as Elon is caught lying about his PoE2 account

Did SpaceX catch a rocket? Yes. Is that amazing? Hell yes it is! Did Elon have anything to do with that? Hell no he didn't.

He did not invent any of that or contribute anything to the technological achievements of the company - or any of the companies he's "leading". He's just taking the credit for it, because people let him.

The amazing engineers and scientists working for SpaceX did all the work.
Yea but he's a "genius" because he has money. You can be a artist and want to paint amazing pictures but if other people are doing the painting for you and you're taking the credit then you're not a "genius". Smart business man to take over things that have already started and improve? Sure. People need to stop glazing this man hardcore. It's like Elon going on about how they decided on the name Tesla, the name was already established in 2003 by Marc and Martin before he brute forced his way in :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Wow.

And Elon said he could play Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball with one hand, now I don't believe him. Truly sad day.

This is total nonsense and I think you’re just sucking up to the owner here.
Not at all. I just have more respect for men and women who create things than the people who just sit around complaining about people who create and accomplish things.

All while they try to downplay them as just being lucky.

It's not luck, it requires a ton of hard work that isn't visible to everyone, just the end product is visible.

I like the way Elon trolls German politics/media. He is certainly great as a troublemaker.
Otherwise, he just seems to be one of those Billionaires. He never ever levelled a D4 character and probably missed out on all the cool side quests.

Elon Musk is the richest idiot / wanna-be oligarch in the world, displaying absolutely pathetic, childlike behaviour.

That in itself would be ok. However... He's clearly not driven by any "noble" motivations, but rather petty, childlike, irrational feelings.

On top of that, he's doing despicable acts like supporting racists and such.

The beauty of all of it is that no one is forcing him to expose himself like that. He's doing it all by himself, progressively revealing what a
deep-down, despicable huge asshole he is.

People like him should never be able to exert any power on the world, like he's trying to do. Him buying the number one propaganda medium - twitter - just to have the chance at controlling options has been a major red flag already.

Anyway, I'm totally gonna boycott Elon Musk and any of his companies. This guy is not gonna get anything from me. I hope other's do the same.

Sadly, he does seem to be a bit of a dickhead rather than a gamer who’s down with the kids.

I don’t get how his current persona helps sell Teslas. Surely the people who loved the idea of buying laptops on wheels to save the planet (made by shitloads of talented migrants working on the cheap in his gigafactories) are being alienated by the Bond villain schtick?

Maybe it is just lack of sleep. He must have to be on Trump 24-7 to make sure Zuck doesn’t cut him out.

The Model Y was the best selling vehicle worldwide.

Cybertruck was the best selling vehicle over 100K in the US.

This is the thing that frustrates me the most about any conversation around Elon. This perception that he's an engineering genius and is directly responsible for the work being done by his companies. Sure, he knows enough about the science that he can talk about it on a podcast, but thats it. I'll give you that hes probably a genious of some sort, atleast as far as business....but he hires people that are smarter than him to create new technologies. Hes not personally figuring out how to make electric cars and launching rockets. That notion is an absolute joke and I blame people like Rogan for spreading that narrative.

He is really good at convincing investors/VC and the market that good things are coming and just around the corner, which to be fair is not a bad skill at all to have. But even with that he just can't help himself, gotta one up and upsell all the time, and now he has painted Tesla into a corner with impossible promises and expectations on FSD and Robotaxis which will not come to pass. TSLA value is propped up simply by wishes and fairy dust at this point and not by business fundamentals, and that bubble will burst just like his fake persona has right now.

Like, compared to his DOGE buddy, Ramaswamy is actually pretty smart and savvy. It's also pretty funny that he gets offered Vance's old senator seat - an actual position of power - leaving Musk behind to play with dolls alone in DOGE, which should keep him placated and feeling important and not realize he's been sidelined into an office position that doesn't matter. He just wants to be liked and feel like he's important, which is what this gaming episode was all about too.

I'm sure the temporary checkmark removal was just Musk throwing his dick on the table. In The Matrix Revolutions, there's this scene with a hobo called the Trainman. Neo at this point is a kung fu counter culture alternative Jesus, but this hobo dude like renovates the walls of the station with Neo's face. He proudly exclaims "Down here, I make the rules. Down here, I make the threats. Down here, I'm God,"

Except like 35% more autistic.

And about on the same level comparing hobos.

You’re discounting the contributions of all the individuals around such people.

Elon is human, like most of people.
Getting humbled once in a while, restores humanity to our souls.

Absolute bullshit. Most engineers are engineers because that’s what they enjoy doing and that’s their proclivity. They’re not wannabe tech entrepreneurs who just weren’t “privileged” enough to pursue that line of work.

It’s not bullshit at all. Success takes risk, resources, and opportunity.

Lots of people have great ideas they can’t necessary see to fruition due to various reasons.

Was Nikola Tesla a bum since he died poor and alone? Success isn’t just measured in how big a bank account is or how big a company someone has set up.

Tesla was one of the smartest people that ever walked the earth. Yet rich people are associating themselves with his name as if it’s their work. I don’t know who Marc and Martin are, but they’re not Tesla. They are no different than Elon.

Ramaswamy can’t be too smart with how his communications have been and what his ideas are.

It is. I'm a minority and I come from complete poverty. I worked in the music industry for many years and I worked my fucking ass off to accomplish what I've accomplished. The reality is the harder you work (smartly) at something the more things fall into place for you around you. With that said, swinging a hammer is hard work too and I completely respect anyone who does what they need to do to provide for their family. So yeah, it's all you really need from both perspectives.

Life ain't easy.

Obviously, but hard work isn’t enough. You need luck, resources, and the right opportunity to arise.

For every person that works hard and succeeds, there are ten who fail. The restaurant business is a perfect example of that. Most go out of business in a year or two. Would you say they didn’t work hard enough?

Yeah...no
PS: it would be good if you also spared us the sanctimonious BS 😉

It's like you guys just want to be told that you'll just fail at everything no matter what you do.

Do your thing. I'm done here.

But, that's not what I said man.

Also : if I've had a dime everytime I heard the usual "I came from nothing but DUE TO HARRRDDD WORK I made it" I'd be driving a Ferrari now.

Super market clerks work their asses off and yet, I've never seen one "living the life" - just like 99.9% of the people doing blue collar jobs, hence the "bullshit" part.

I'm also done here, didn't want to come off as an asshole and apologies if I did, I just found that specific comment to be bullshit.

Cheers

Because people that work at a fucking Target think they would do a better job running a massive company.

It's jealousy with a dash of delusion to make them feel better about themselves.

I expect the people that run a massive to company to not act like someone who works at target.

There are people in Elons position, with elons status, who don't. Elon does, and has for some time.

It shouldn't be baffling to anyone that publicly making an ass of yourself makes people look at you differently. That being caught in lies makes people not believe what you say, and that displaying insecurity makes people respect you less. That has always been the case, no matter where you work or what you've done.

Elon is a great manager, a founder/CEO but not an engineer, video gamer or programmer or just about any other profession he tries to shoehorn himself and this is precisely the problem. In the unlikely event that Elon reads this, I just want to tell you bro, just be yourself, don't force yourself to be someone you're not.

Elon is a brilliant strategist and CEO, he has surrounded himself with very smart people that run his companies, win elections and this is the reason he can take risks and often win. The problem here is without the people, without the circumstance of luck, without your money and without your fans, you're just an average man-baby business executive who would be probably working at Morgan Stanley and be precisely the person you hate and criticize today.

Asmongold on the other hand, I have no words to write, think or say.

I sat here and watched this at 2x and that's the best I could do because it's long as shit

I didn't read this stupid thread but I got the impression that there's some kind of war between The $400 Billion Man and The Roach King

As usual, the people who hate Elon Musk have made this whole thing into yet another one of his war crimes against humanity or whatever Redditors and other retards think

But Asmon is actually kind of amused by the whole thing, he doesn't even remotely hate Elon Musk (and says this multiple times on this video) and honestly he seems a bit surprised this blew up the way it did, he doesn't even think it's a big deal because like who gives a fuck if you had someone boost you because you don't actually want to grind 90 hours a week in a video game

But the reason it blew up is because it's Elon Musk and you can see the usual people here on GAF who have severe cases of EDS immediately latching onto it to attack him because he's the world's worst war criminal and ultra-Hitler and shit

If you have this level of EDS then you need to seek mental health attention, but I guess it's funny that Elon thought no one would notice that he was playing a level 97 character because that's not even remotely plausible in the current state of PoE2

It's not a matter of EDS. It's the fact that the richest (well, it's all tied to stocks, so it's not actually tangible, but you know how that goes) man on Earth wants to pose as a pro gamer. That's just pathetic. I mean, come on. Why?
Because he's a regular autistic human, this is actually a problem with our society which either venerates or despises people for having a lot of money. He's still just a person who grew up playing video games like you and me and he thinks he has to prove he's good at them. It's slightly retarded but all humans are in some ways slightly retarded about something

I think it's stupid that he got boosted and tries to pretend he didn't, there's no point because no one cares anyways. If I was worth $400 billion I would pay people to grind me up to max level too because it's a waste of time in a lot of games and too many game devs make time wasting an integral part of gameplay, look at your average Ubisoft game for more information

As a nerd myself, I dont want to live in a world run by nerds. Zuckerberg already ruined the internet, and now Elon is ruining social media.

Soon the rest of the world will be a shitshow thanks to these morons who keep investing in AI not realizing what it will do to the society.

It has nothing to do with money. If I had all the fuck you money in the world, I wouldn't give a fuck how people feel about me. Would I want someone to grind my character up to level one billion so I could show it off? Fuck no! I'd grind it myself, while smoking myself stupid and getting constant blowjobs from a rotating staff of maids. Or a Roomba. Maybe a Maroomba, if such a thing exists.

But I'd do it, because I'd actually enjoy doing so. Not for some pathetic street cred. Being autistic doesn't make you a retard. But one can also be a retard in addition to being autistic.

The only explanation of this is that Musk doesn’t make tweets himself at all, but instead is testing some AI that handles his social media posting and has gone rampant.

Like “sorry, instead of ‘humor’ my AI bot had ‘dumb agression’ set to 80%”.
