Going off what I've been told from people in Japan, there's usually a cab that has the capturing stuff in it somewhere in the arcade. The owners let people pay for time (unless you have an in, as is often the case) to record. This is how lots of combo videos are made for arcade versions. Other times they'll just record and upload normal play or get good players to sit down and play, then post things up with the arcades name on it for the sake of recognition. Same thing goes for events.

Again, just what I've heard from a few people I know over there and guys like Xie on twitter.

I think Alioune said that Juri does well against Cammy. Can punish her dive kicks with her dive kicks. And turn her Ultra when about to be dive kicked to turn things around.

Is this the end of S2? I thought Xian has to play Kbrad first, but the way the episode ended made it seem that way. Anyways it was a lot of fun to watch, I'm really looking forward to S3. I do hope they don't bring back Ryan and Alioune. They both already had 2 shots at this.

If they want to bring back some of the others then so be it, but try to include other top players like Justin, Snake Eyes and at least one Japanese dude(not Daigo since he seems to never have time, maybe Mago or Momochi). I'd rather not see too many players who play the same character like we saw this season if possible.

Sako would be godlike to see on ESGN. Has many known characters and has already proven himself in long sets like the Godsgarden matches. But I doubt he would get on, since he is a family man now and has to put that first, unless he really knows he can get that 25k.

I somehow completely forgot about Sako even though he mains my main character lol. But you're right, he's a family man and probably has a full time job so his priorities are different then the younger guys or even Daigo who is a full time pro. Maybe he can convince his boss though if he gives him a cut of his winnings, who knows. But I'd love to see him go and blow up some Cammy's.

Wanna go to Cali so bad... Can someone please do the math and tell me how much money it would take to go from NY to Vegas and register for EVO and what not. I can probably make the money if I save it. I wouldn't mind splitting a room with Beef-senpai if it come down to it *blushes*.

But seriously, what are the prices and when is it happening? Also, is ESGN Season 3 happening tomorrow? I gotta catch up on Season 2 whenever I can.

Edit:

Apparently if I pay for Friday, Saturday and Sunday it'll be $49 (Sunday) + $170 (Friday & Saturday), which totals to $220 rounded.

Registration will be $50 and $10 for each game, $60 in total. Around $280 now.

Round trip flight tickets will probably be $400-$500 at best.

Grand Total: $730

tl;dr

GOD DAMN PLAYING GAMES IS EXPENSIVE!

I flew to CA from WNY and stayed at a hotel for one night for ~$500.

Also as someone who grew up and lived in southern CA (mostly in Ventura) for about 25 years it's amazing, and I totally want to go back. My parents still live out there and me and my wife could stay with them, but that's not ideal (obviously), and also our current situation and some medical issues I'm having would also further complicate things. Where we live now in central VA is nice and cost of living is pretty low, but we're getting increasingly sick of the weather (cold as fuck/snowy winters and humid as hell summers) and there's just not as much to do out here, at least where we live.

I lived in NYC and now living in Cali. I really miss the city but man, you get spoiled by the weather and the more laid back lifestyle. Also, I hated the Jersey/Staten Island accent. I do miss the convenience and availability of different kinds of food. I can't find any decent Cuban food here.

Edit: Honestly go where your career takes you. Chasing the grass that is always greener is not always the best way to live.
Edit2: Downside of CA is that there are so many Anime/Cosplay people. Ugh.

I suffered the same as you. I took the train every morning and night, an hour each (totaling into two hours). It was hell until I graduated from college and then the train system stuck onto me like crack, now I don't mind taking it. Just pop open a 3DS and let the ride smoothly go~

Public transit in LA has actually gotten a lot better in recent years, and more improvements are on the way. Unfortunately there's still no getting around the need for a car in SoCal.

i take the bus to work on most days. i can take the metro to downtown if i want.

there's def still lots and lots of work to do in public infrastucture but it's currently being worked on, just gotta wait for it to be done in like a decade or whatever
