Does this stupidity of gender is forced on the player or can the player skip that stupid shit?

Past the initial choose your character you never have to interface with it. You can literally just pick default male or female and tab through and be out in like 15 seconds.

I think they do give you a pronoun option but I never noticed it past choosing it.

Yup, literally a non-issue with this game. I avoid all things woke but this ain't the one to worry about. It just has to do with building a character as close to yourself as possible. I mean you can even pick fake arms and legs if you're an amputee or wear hearing devices and such if thats you and that's only if you decide to just not use one of the default premade characters.

I have a love/hate relationship for this game.

The bad:
The story and the characters are just horrendous. Super Annoying and what a little kid would think is cool. The game forces you to partake in story elements and most of the time they are really annoying. There is almost nothing about the story that is any good unless you want to learn the history of the Beetle in Mexico. I Know people do not play a racing game for the story but to advance you have to partake in quite a few story elements.

The Good:
Despite that, some of the missions themselves are really fun. The opening Sequence itself gives you a good sample of that.
The Cars and the driving are just fantastic. The environments have a ton of variety. The world they created here is fun.
The Cars all feel unique. I highly recommend driving inside the car view by a horizon event with the ray traced fireworks going off!
Driving from the Snowy mountains and into a deserted sandstorm in about 5 mins time is Great. Even taking a truck out into the marsh is fun.
Just a Fun game!

It is three tabs on avatar customization and everything defaults to normal. You can make up your mind about whether it is crossing a line yourself. For me, I don't care anymore and having the lamely voiced avatars is a worse element of this installment.

Am I obliged to fill this up or can I press skip or something liked?

The biggest problem with the game is it's just a huge rehash of the previous games with horrendous dialogue and characters which don't really need to exist and that was proven with 3/4.

Almost every event in FH5 was done before and done better.

One of my favorite youtubers actually did a video that summed up my thoughts nearly perfectly.


It's not a bad game by any means, and I suggest anybody looking for an arcade racer that hasn't already played it on Xbox or PC to grab it at least on sale. It's still better then Motorfest by quite a big margin.

TCM absolutely murders FH5. FH5 was a huge let down. BUT, if one has been only part of the playstation ecosystem, it's a solid entry point. 3 and 4 were just better imo.

This is what I've heard as well. I tried TCM and it's just not for me. Not into Arcade racers is the conclusion I've come to. GT is much more of what I'm looking for in a racer.

I've tried Crew Motorfest last year and it's way less enjoyable than FH5 in my opinion, even though it is doing some things better, like making sure that each playlist feels unique or offering a proper big island as a free expansion.

Collecting cars is less fun, driving model is worse, everything seems to take more time (like zooming the map in or out, finding challenges), the UI is an absolute mess, plus it's always online and there's annoying woke content, like the whole Porsche playlist is absolutely filled with pride colors, banners etc. They just can't help themselves even in a racing game.

It defaults to normal (off) and next tab is only a shoulder button away if you want to do customization.

I hated Motorfest and its NFS ish handling.

I played some of the PS5 trial and uninstalled it after probably 2 hours max.

Horizon for me (specifically 4) is the best arcade handling outside of something like Ridge Racer.

This is what I've heard as well. I tried TCM and it's just not for me. Not into Arcade racers is the conclusion I've come to. GT is much more of what I'm looking for in a racer.

I'm glad we're in a world where both are still being made. Love both sims and arcade racers. Easily my favorite genre.

Just perfect chill driving fun. Great looking game still and to me they really nailed the arcade with a bit of sim feeling when it comes to driving. The cringe is easy to ignore. You really should buy this, easily my favorite racing series.

Horizon 5 environments and landscapes in fidelity mode on the series x look incredible and a generation above The Crew Motorfest. I can't believe I will be playing Forza Horizon on Playstation, it's the only IP I cared about and bought Xbox'es for in the past (sold my series x the moment this got announced and will never look back)

Really hope for pro support and 60fps at fidelity settings

Because GT7 is quite popular and there is likelihood that people will buy Forza as well and it could be interesting how GT community will embrace Forza. Horizon can also do well but I think the original Forza was a disaster at launch and the reboot has not done much to the series. Microsoft should take a chance with that. Horizon in comparison is doing well now than the original series.

Absolutely not. Horizon is the one we want.

FH5 is fun but I still think FH2 was the pinnacle. After 2 they just copied things too much and not enough fresh stuff. They need to go back to PGR2 and bring some of that into this game, cone challenges and things like that.

You should be used to it by now. COD and Minecraft get more play time than any PS game.and Indiana jones is amazing… I can’t wait for yoh to get to play it. And when halo and gears come to PS you can finally admit that uncharted and last of us had shit multiplayer . IMO, the multiplayer for TLOU & Uncharted weren't bad at all but they could've been better in some aspects...& uncharted did suffer from balancing problems...thats a whole fact!

I bought Forza Horizon 4 because I was in the mood for this type of game, never played a Horizon game before more than an hour and I'm enjoying it. It's a little confusing what to do with so many icons on screen and if I didn't win a race it lists a race as completed and it doesn't appear I can find out where I finished in the race previously unless I missed it. But it's solid. Gonna mess with this for a while.

Let me make this clear to you. You cannot ship a game on PlayStation 5, without PS5 Pro enhanced features, since the launch of the PS5 Pro last year, period.

It's a mandatory first party rule that Sony enforces, just like they did on the PS4 Pro and Microsoft did with the Xbox One X and are now doing (since the start of the gen) with the Series S.

There's no dodging around this by "it has to just run, but without features". No. This is NOT backwards compatibility. This is SAME platform. The PS5. It HAS TO BE enhanced. It's mandatory.

It's the reason why PS5 Pro is the definitive place to play GTA 6 this year or even next year, even if the next Xbox launches next year, Rockstar won't patch it and just launch another next gen sku.

I know you can never really tell someone’s intent through type as I dont know everyone’s primary language but I just wanted to point that fact out to him since I took his tone as very condescending and I knew games were not forced to be enhanced

Forza Horizon 5 is the better pick because PS already has GT.

But Forza Motorsport would be fun to have on PS5 as well. They could go directly head to head on the same console. As for FM8, well, its rather weak. I do prefer its single player since it aren't catch up races (in fact you can choose your position, with bigger bonus attributed to the lower places), but actual small championships like classic GT. Game is weird as fuck though. Barely any championships with hypercars. Track selection is kind of weak too. Its just not a reboot in any way. And that upgrade system, it was locked behind car level. It was the most horrible shit I ever saw in a racer.

But still, I love how the 635i, Escort and Sierra Cozzy etc are in this game. I love these 80's cars. And I kind of prefer Forzas sound and gameplay. I'd like both, but Turn 10 needs to do better next time.
