they are saying that it isn't suicide now, he had a hard time sleeping for the last 2 months. Add two plus two and i think you can assumed what happened. :/

Accidental or not, it is very difficult to kill yourself in this day and age with sleeping pills...especially the OTC kind. Even this new theory on CNN about Tylenol OD makes little sense...you don't just keel over from Tylenol OD. He would have been in ill health for several days at least.

otc sleeping pills at the scene aren't really indicative of an addict/suicidal person

also, its kind of out there that it was at one of the olsen twins' residence

But it shouldn't be a Ledger love-in. First, nobody knows this guy. A lot of people die everyday by suicide, accident or murder. Second, this guy is a loser. He killed himself and left his 2 year old daughter without a father. Like this little girl, my father decided to leave me when I was young. No sympathy for this douche. If it wasn't a suicide, then that's a different story. Nobody knows at this point.

I just read on RSTEIN that we have CONFIRMED information that this is a suicide. First confirmation anywhere as far as I know.

They won't reshoot, and they can't risk changing the ending (they shouldn't!). The movie that is more controversial right now is "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", where he is seen hanged to death. That said, i don't know how TDK ends or should end. If joker is captured or killed, then they should just stop it right there with the Joker saga. If he escapes, let him be away and the joker can be revived a decade later. I seriously won't like a recast for his role.

Yeah, cause all the fucking evidence suggests that it was suicide, doesn't it?

Furthermore I'm getting really sick of this shit about how nobody knew him. Once more, the guy was an actor, he dedicated his life's work to making people feel and empathize with him. It is expected for people to have emotional links to people they've never "met" - for example, I never met Robert Jordan or David Gemmell, but I cried when they died. If these people didn't affect us in some way, you may as well say they're lives were pointless.

Fuck. That's just really fucked up, if true.

And not to keep harping on the Batman stuff, but between this and that stunt guy during TDK filming, I wouldn't be surprised if Nolan didn't return for a third film.

Well, with TDK

If Joker's left alive to reign further havok on #3, like I think was intended, they're going to have to recast. Not a good looking option for Nolan. They could re-edit TDK to have the Joker killed or locked up, but that could either be sloppily done, or would also need some kind of body double/recast.

I agree. The third movie will have to be completely rewritten though, from my understanding, unless they recast.

No need to worry about TDK. With the current CG tech, they can make him live again, but only in the movie :( ( I am pretty sure they have his body and face digitalized long ago.)

Because it actually doesn't matter if it was suicide or not. "Accidental death" with sleeping pills surrounding him? Um, that doesn't fly with me. He was abusing sleeping pills, he was aware of the consequences. He's still an idiot that lived his life without regard for his own life and more importantly his daughter's well being.

Dude, this is an awesome idea. I just got off the phone with my fiancee who was also pretty shattered by the news (she's an actor and I guess it hit close to home?) and I'm going home this weekend, so we'll definitely watch through all the Heath Ledger stuff we own.

I believe "locked up" was already intended, since the third movie was supposed to be the trial and birth of Two Face.
