Kojima is a de facto Sony employee. He worked closely with Guerrilla, even got their engine. He has unusual inside knowledge. If he pitched something to MS, its because Sony possibly turned his idea down. But I would say his next game is PS5 bound at the very least.

I also think Sony will buy Kojima productions. I am sure he was first skeptical and wanted to stay independent, but I am sure a deal like the one which bungie got, where they have a guaranteed creative freedom only the Sony umbrella is also interesting for Kojima.

And no, it’s not DS2, Reedus said there are discussions about it, but what do people think Kojima did since the release of DS? The DC only required a skeleton crew and minimal work if any from Kojima.
So we have the following information:
- it’s not DS 2 since it’s too early.
- it’s probably a horror game since Kojima said multiple times he is interested in making one.
- it’s most likely an existing IP, if it would be a new IP he would have already announced at least the title by now, think about how early he announced Death Stranding. The only reason for hiding the title is if it’s an existing IP.
Considering the above and all the rumors (even from Gematsu), everything else than Silent Hills would be a surprise at this point.
So we have the following information:

2. Sony's motion mo cap studio was also used to shoot RE Village, which last I checked wasn't a console exclusive.

Regardless, it may be the studio preference if they want to work with a particular mo cap studio they're familiar with.
But the point is that this topic is nothing but hopes and dreams, with no real evidence of anything that points to any game.

We can keep going back and forth on this for months or years and EVENTUALLY he'll announce a game some time and you can use it as a "AHA SEE" then, but nothing in this set of tweets hints at anything. For all we know the mo cap pictures from last year were for the new Death Stranding DC content. We don't know if/what game Koji Pro is developing right now outside of some rumors saying it's a SH game and some rumors saying its an Xbox game.

I do think it's likely Kojima is working with Playstation on a title, but if they are working with Microsoft, or Sega, or Comodore 64 on a title they'd still use Sony's mocap tech. It's what their studio bought lol

Does it "prove" he's working on a game with Sony? No.. but it's a decent indication of that. Which would be the least shocking news on the planet.. it's pretty much assumed KJP has a Sony exclusive in the pipeline..I mean DS2 is heavily rumored for instance.

The resources they provided helped create Death Stranding and kept it as a console exclusive, if it was an ongoing thing there wouldn't be persistent rumors about him getting into negotiations with MS for a game in the first place.
