Godzilla minus one, where he’s not 500 stories tall could work. I’ve definitely thought of it before too. Would be pretty cool.

If they do Final Fantasy again, I’d like to see Malboro. I imagine him hitting hunters with bad breath and inflicting every blight and status at once. And with its tentacles, it could attack you from any angle, so you couldn’t just hide behind it.

Purchased on PS5. Will play whatever gets me to the credits solo. I basically want what I got from Rise. Credits and some DLC down the road. Was hoping to wield a heavy weapon. I don’t know this time around. What’s going to be good for solo play unless they’ve made all the weapons good for solo players.

I never had NSO, so I played offline. It’s weird how I prefer Rise over World. My wife’s ex asked if I wanted to join his party. Nah I’ll play my way.

Every weapon is great for solo play but I particularly like LS because that weapon is all about counters so you want monster attention on you, which harder to do on multiplayer since monster attention keep changing between players.

awesome OP. I had around 2000 hours on World between the PS and PC. going PC only this time and already pre purchased after playing the beta. can't wait to go hunting on the 28th.

Insane OT. Not jumping in day 1, because i want to finish KCD2 first and wanna see how the PC version looks and runs compared to beta, because that was garbage. If it sucks i'll go with the Pro version

I wasn’t able to get in to Generations Ultimate, nor Rise initially. But I’m determined to play Rise until it ‘clicks’ this year. Seeing this franchise go mainstream, with critical and commercial success, whilst focussing on gameplay above everything has been satisfying. Well done Capcom, I’m sure this new entry will be fantastic.

I took Friday and Monday off, so a nice 4 day session with nothing else to do. GF knows what’s up and she’ll be at a friends place for most of the weekend. Gonna no life this game hard.
Lmao. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that conversation.

Babe something’s come up and I need you to leave for a few days.

Though I’m in a similar situation and most people close to me know I will simply be unavailable for a while haha.

I think im going to go with the standard version. The cosmetics do not entice me. What’s the cheapest PC key so far?

Wilds is more like World than Rise

If you want something to do the next week while you wait for Wilds, World is on sale most places you can buy it

I have around 1400 hours on Iceborne, but I don't have that much free time anymore. Still, once the expansion is out next year I'm easily looking at over 500.

Let's just hope they can do some last moment performance fixes with a day one patch or something. The dusty graphics are one thing, but MH has never done that well, so that's meh but I can live with it... That even a 4090 can't do locked 4k60 despite those visuals is infuriating though.

Also... Fatalis chairs... Damn another monster has just been spoiled.
Nothing has been spoiled, Fata chair came out long ago.

She knows about my… addition lol

It was kind of just a bit of serendipity too, a friend of hers was planning some event, so everything just kind of fell into place.

The final thing to do before the game launches is some grocery shopping. Need to stock up on some food and snacks that are not time consuming to make, but I also don’t want to sit on my ass eating pizza, chips, and candy for 4 days straight lol. I may just meal prep a bunch of chicken and rice or something on like Wednesday lolol

This is a good idea. Though I don't mind just finding a place on the map and hanging out while I cook. I have a feeling there will be plenty of ambient things to enjoy for a while, while cooking.

I suspect the game is not short on atmosphere.

What was wrong Raging Brachydios? That was my favourite hunt in entire World/Iceborne.
World raging brach is just too annoying to deal, he explodes everything with his slime and then you have to deal with him in the fire pit on last phase, is too much XD

Put blast blight resistance decoration and you should be fine.

I personally LOOOVED the hunt, I always liked Brachydios even back in old world but Raging Brachydios in Iceborne was even better.

Uragaan annoyed me way more, I never liked this monster.

yeah, once you have a anti brach gear he is just fine to deal with, but till them, geez, to annoying to deal the first time and more annoying to farm for his nuclear reactor ( god be praised for the events tickets )

raging brachy is fine, being trapped in there with a monster, so you have to proof he's actually trapped in there with you is a great hook.
he never does anything that's really annoying to deal with or hard to avoid, just pay attention.
a real annoying bitch however is that blue devil bitch lunastra, oh how I hate her with a passion.

I couldn't agree more holy fuck! Especially her Arch tempered and master rank version, she will wind pressure and burn you to death.

Well, after shopping around, I ended up picking up the "Deluxe" edition on GMG. I had a few gift cards and vouchers so I got a pretty good price, all said and done.

I was going to avoid feeding into their "money for cosmetics" greed, but a MH mainline game only comes around after so many years, so I'll let it slide this time.

I picked the Premium Edition, probably one of the few games that is worth paying extra for all the goodies because of how much time you spent on it.

My biggest hope is that my B52 bomber boi is in this with his classic god tier theme

No pls

I could be wrong but I heard in Wilds when you craft high rank version of the armour set you can use as layered armour which if it’s true then it’s MUCH better system than world.

In World/Iceborne the only way you can get layered armour sets is grind guiding lands and you need materials from tempered version of that monster.

Oh yea that does sound better. But I meant that I just didn't like the idea of charging for cosmetics in Monster Hunter to begin with. Other that stats, cosmetics is like 90% of the reason to grind after beating the game/quests. Seems scummy to charge for that type of thing in this series, especially for exclusive stuff you can't get just by playing.

I bought a bunch of cosmetics for mhw, mostly dances and hairstyles and music packs, and of course this costume for handler because obviously, a lot of the other cosmetics I used came from event quests.
So I'm actually not to sure if I want to shell out for the premium edition of mhwi, I'm not sure if I'd have use for most of the cosmetics even if it does come with proof of a hero bgm; I'll probably pick up the deluxe though.

I agree let me earn it through even quest or something instead of charging me for it.

I’m more than happy to pay for expansion like Iceborne/Sunbreak but not for cosmetics.
