Going to Pass. Would need a new Case, PSU, and Home loan for one of these.

Body is ready. Wallet isn't. Way too many expenses right now.

I also don't have much reason to upgrade my 4090 at the moment, but it’s going to continue to decrease in value with time. It's best to stay upgraded as soon as possible.

I paid $1,850 for my 4090, so a $2k 5090 isn’t too bad if that ends up being the price. That said, AIBs will be a couple hundred more. Selling my 4090 will definitely soften the blow.

Unless you're buying the 5090 wait for the 'Super' refresh models with the 3GB memory modules, especially if you want the 5080 which will almost certainly get bumped upto 24GB in time.

90 class cards are the only cards that won't change spec or come down in price over their lifecycle and to get the most value out of the extortionate cost, buy early as possible.

Not looking forward to YouTube PCVR reviewers saying how great a new PCVR game runs on their 5090.

I want to get a 5090, but I honestly feel no reason to upgrade. The 4090 is still a beast for 4K/120Hz and will be throughout the 50XX generation as well, since I doubt the 5080 will beat it in every scenario.

That said, it depends on what it brings to table and how much money people will be willing to pay for my Founders Edition. I do like my shiny things!

If the new top end cards come anywhere near the sort of prices being speculated, I'm afraid I'm out.
I will hold on to the 3070ti I have, and slowly exit the PC Gaming scene.
Why would you exit rather than just not buying stuff overpriced at launch and waiting a bit till they're cheaper?

Im more interested about DLSS 4 than RTX 5080.

Also, for 1440p + DLSS + some VR i hope RTX 5060ti/5070 would be enough. Either way its gonna cost 800-900€ lol. Crazy

Hoping for pre-order after the show, just like in 2020, it did saved me a ton of money down the line...

Ya I’m good. There are no games I wanna play with better performance currently out and no games on the immediate horizon.

Usually I'd say the same thing, but with Kingdom Come 2 out next month, I suppose I have a convenient excuse ...

The 9070 XT is really the only hope of PC gamers getting a decent card at a decent price. Sure, it's not gonna compete with the 5090 and 5080, but if the rumors are true and it's on par with the 4070 Ti in both raster and RT, it would be a nice upgrade for those with lesser hardware., especially at $500 or so.

Recently got a 5k monitor ( micro open box, Samsung 5120x2880, 639$ )

I do have a 4090 but with reshade, I need raw raster performance, avg. 20 fps.

I hope I can get some trade in back on my 4090 and the 5090 is reasonable

Holly cow, that's 14.7 million of pixels, a LOT higher even compared to 4K (8M). I'm not sure if even RTX5090 will run the most demanding games smoothly at such insanely high resolution.

I’m only interested in any new feature announcements with the 50 series and if those are locked to the 50 series. And maybe if a 5070 gets announced.

Curious if the 50 series will have a 16GB card in the 150w-200w range to replace my 4060ti 16GB with, at a reasonable price. Not that I’d expect it announced at this keynote if it even will exist.

I'm not trying to hit 60 fps for my machenima, but if I can hit 30, I can smooth it out in post or use AI to boost it.

That's all I need. The visual clarity of 5k down sampled to 4k, and 30 fps. 2/3rds the way there with a 4090.

They will 100% have feature lock on the 50 series, it worked for them last time so why wouldnt they do it again.

NVIDIA aren't exactly consumer friendly.

That monitor is 60hz isn't it? So yeah 30fps would be easy to go for you..

Maybe they'll bring back nvlink so you can run three in parallel to hit 60hz.

Personally I couldn't sacrifice FPS to resolution

50% chance.

Frame gen (dlss3) is like that but RR isn't (Dlss 3.5).

Sometimes they locked things but most of the time they don't do that. We will see.

I have a 4080. Not sure if a 5080 would be an upgrade. It still having 16GB is a kick in the nuts. Yes the memory is faster but this card should have 20GB at least. Ideally 24GB. Maybe they'll do that with the inevitable 5080 Super in 2026 lol.

A 5090 would be nice but I am dreading the price. Also, I'd need to buy a new PSU as I am not sure 1000W is going to be enough.

I've been very happy with my 4090 so much that for the first time in a few cards I'm not that excited for a 5090.

24GB has been enough for 4k and dlss has been pretty good for games like black myth wukong and cyberpunk on maximum settings.

More than 33% faster and a new type of dlss is the likelihood but is that enough for me.... Hmmm
