The BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Official Thread [360/PS3] - Be Ready for the Rebel

I've put in another 4 hours today. GOD THIS IS A GREAT FIGHTER! I am starting to get really comfortable with the playing mechanics. I am doing quite well with Noel, Jin and Taokaka. I'm slowly figuring out Nu (V.13) as some of her range attacks are starting to click and make sense to me.

I can't play anymore because my hands hurt (I would play more trust me). I'm going to take my finance out for dinner since she graduated, and play more later once she goes to bed!

Preordered from Gamestop to get the quicker shipping. Sure, I most likely won't get the artbook at this point, but as long as I get that soundtrack, I am happy. The artbook would of most likely of been looked though once, and stuffed in with the rest of my gaming memorabilia.

Couldn't wait. I took another trip to a place I know that had the arcade version of the game, and put in another few rounds. :lol

I can't wait til I can rock my low-tier fury through Hakumen online!

Man I played a few matches against some Japanese online players (and lost a bunch) and man is it buttery smooth. Once it syncs its a wrap. I was getting owned by Japanese players and I loved every bit of it. I'd still be playing but some people in the household do not enjoy the sound of me hitting buttons on my HRAP3.

If I order from gamestop, is it just going to give me free overnight regardless or do I need a code?

Enter code FON60, I just canceled my Amazon order and took advantage of this, pretty awesome deal and ends up being a few dollars cheaper than amazon

Thanks. =)

And yeah, $63.59 and I get the game asap, sounds good. I have no clue what the deal with the artbook is, but the OST for this game is all I really want anyway.

Getting pretty anxious myself. Trying to spend the time by designing the art for TE stick. Thinking about going with a persona 3/4 design.

Is there any way to do this if you've already ordered? I can change my shipping, but I don't see anywhere to put in the promo code once the order is done.

Cancel and reorder maybe? I don't think there's any other way.

Played the game here in some local casuals for a few hours. I enjoyed it a lot. I'm mostly a SF/Capcom player but I can see myself learning and playing the game seriously. I really dug nu-13 and noel. It took a while to fully understand the system mechanics. Overall I'm impressed as a fighting game fan.

All I got for the Vernal Equinox was this stupid tag
Can someone please tell me what it is about Iron Tager that makes him the lowest-ranked character in the game? I just jumped up from level 12 to 16 beating level 23-26 ranked players by doing some very basic tactics. It's like they have to work very, very hard doing all these combos, and I can just grab them right out of them and piledrive them to death.

Even had my first RAGE QUITTER, a level 26 Taokaka player who quit on me after he kept falling for an easy hcf+D, spinning lariat super tactic again and again. :lol

I still like Litchi loads, but I think Tager may become my main. Most fun grappler to come along in a while.

EDIT: I gained two more levels since I initially posted this message. This is crazy!

I can't wait to get this, it's awesome that it supports Remote Play. It's something you don't see enough, and something I wish SF4 had because of its convenience.

hahaha, drunk hellfromabove is inspiring.

I've been playing Guilty Gear (#Reload, since I don't have a decent controller for my version of Accent Core), trying to get even more HYPE for this game, if that's possible. I love the malleability of the characters; you can play one character in two or more completely different styles, which is something you don't see as much in a lot of other fighting games.

They like to say, "No, this is a rushdown character. This is a turtling character. This character is a charge character, this is a motion character." Arc and AkSys instead say, "Hey, here is a cool character with an adaptable playstyle. Try out some awesome shit."

I can't imagine the horror you must endure when deciding which one to actually use! :lol

Word! MarkMan, how do you decide which one to use? Do you just stick with TE's?

Spinning lariat? Is Tager the BB version of Zangief? :lol

This game was a bitch to find in Osaka today. Every place was sold out of the 360 version. I went to 5 or 6 stores. The PS3 was in stock everywhere though. I was really surprised.

I'm like a Hadouken, down-right Fierce!
That's because 360 = hardcore fighting game fan's system. Been that way for DOA4, SF4, Soulcalibur 4 (every major SC4 player is on 360 only) and will be that way for a long time. Expect the 360 to be the system of choice for Tekken 6 too.

Also Tager sucks because he has no good anti-air (only his 2C which you need to be psychic with to hit and his anti-air throw) and you can break his 360 throws after you combo into them with 236A/B. That thing really fucks him over because you would be able to do retarded damage if that was the case, but sadly against good players you are better off doing a combo that ends with the air throw. Oh yea, no forward dash, double jump and air dash screws him over too.

Thanks for sharing MarkMan. Looks like you guys had alot of fun! I've still not decided which character I want to use as my "main" but other than watching a few videos to keep my hype meter stoked I am personally wanting to wait and see who "grabs" me the hardest when I finally get my hands on it next week. I wonder who it will be?:D

Early favorites are Noel, Ragna and Litchi but not having actually played any of them I guess we'll just have to see.

I just go with the flow... usually if it's a 360 game, I'll use a modded SE or TE stick. If it's PS2/PS3 I'll use a Namco.

The party was off the hook! I wanna thank everyone for coming out to the party. These were the parting gifts from the party. And yes, that's the US LE of BlazBlue...
