One of the rare times I've actually pre-ordered a game. I don't even know why as I've never been a Guilty Gear fan and have my hands tied with SF4 yet I can't ignore Blazblue. 
Where is Aksys located? Sometimes the west coast gets stuff a day earlier than us east coast folks (like with some Atlus products as they are in California) =( I'm in North Georgia so I'm not going to get my hopes up unless someone from the east coast tells me they've gotten Ashley's call.
Still, playing BB tomorrow would be freakin awesome!

God Gamestop.com service is pretty terrible. They sent me an email yesterday to call them to 'verify' my order, apparently because the billing/shipping info didn't match. I've called at least 10 times today and all they have is some automated message saying to leave your phone number to have them call back.. and I did.. they still haven't called or answered. I think it's kind of ridiculous, I just want my BlazBlue on time :\

Markman / Oichi is V-13 as busted as she seems?
Watching justin.tv/escapingjail and she just looks like projectile spam Hell. Then again the competition doesn't seem like it's too familiar with the game yet. :/

I doubt it though, the people fighting him were doing pretty dumb stuff like backing up, which just let him spam the swords. I can definitely see her being used online a ton though.
Normally I gloss over any thread where people are talking about the status of their pre orders, but it was a good thing you guys clarified what this "backordered" status means because I was about to flip out on a Gamestop employee on the phone
I mean, I ordered this game with O/N shipping the very day it first went up online and when I saw "backordered" I was thinking I was getting screwed over. But just out of curiousity I figured I;d drop in here and see if anyone else had an update on the shipping status. You guys saved a poor Gamestop customer service person from getting an earful from me. :lol

The game only seems balanced right now. As for Nu-13: I play her and she's almost strictly a zoning character. Basically, I have to anticipate a pattern and go from there. 2D AA sword has somewhat slow recovery so if you can bait that, you can get in on her. 5C was my main poke in close range and even that was dangerous if whiffed. Of course, I don't have full understanding of the matchups yet, but that what I was able to gather from the time I had playing it this weekend. Think of nu like Dhalsim. You don't want to give the player enough space to work with and make mistakes.

fuck it.. I went ahead and canceled my Gamestop order (surprisingly it said 'canceled' as soon as I refreshed the page). Just gonna try Best Buy or something tomorrow instead of supporting that shitty company.

Well IIRC V-13 among the best three in the game (the other two being Arakune and Rachel). I'm of course very much a n00b at this game, but most of the V-13 users I've played or seen in the player rooms I'm in every night aren't any more difficult to take out that any other character. That "basic sword spam" combo you're talking about is probably the one where she launches swords at you in all directions and then finishes it with a ground attack. If it's that, it's far more dangerous than it looks since you can block all the sword hits high and then block the ground attack low.
Does V-13 take more damage than a lot of the other characters? Kind of seemed that way last night, but I was using Tager...
