I didn't even realize this until tonight, but they made that a selectable song in player/versus matches! :lol

After playing today, I think I'm definitely sticking with Litchi, Iron Tager, and Taokaka, but I still don't know which of the three to main. Haven't even used Ragna, Arakune, Haku-Men, and Jin yet!

Yeah, I saw a clip. During the fight intro, Taokaka says "It's the boobie lady!" She says it all excited, it's hilarious.

The boobie lady lines are also included in Litchi's tips.

I'm liking the english voices much more the original japanese ones. Some characters have a pretty damn good personality, like Jin for example, I was expecting another Ky Kyske clone and he turned out to be a badass mofo. That guy is nuts.

Thinking about pulling the trigger (haha) on this game just from reading this thread alone... I dunno. It's an awfully big risk for me to take on a game I've never played and have no history with. I'm strictly a Capcom fighter (some Soul Calibur in there too) but this game does look very tempting. I'll debate it a little bit more today I think.

You missing an awful lot of pretty good fighters out there over the years.

There was a point in my life where pretty much the only fighters I played were Capcom. Then I played some Guilty Gear and SNK stuff and never looked back. Nowadays when it comes to 2D fighters I try all I can get my hands on.

People are saying it's doing surprisingly well on the preorder side of things, almost certainly better than Aksys suspected considering the artbook situation. So, I don't think so.

Actually, I've been following the whole preorder situation and whatnot very closely for 2 months. Let's say I'm NOT sure where this game will end up in the NPD.

Let's say if it's top 10 that won't surprise me at all.

*)Basically was in the GameStop Bestselling top 10 for 6 weeks straight.
*)Videogamesplus.ca sold out on the PS3 version.
*)PS3 version is #15 of videogame sales on Amazon. But the only "regular" games above it are Sims 3 and Mario Cart, the rest is Wii Fit, Wii Sports resort and EA Sports active (for the Wii). The left spots are claimed by Wii hardware and XBL game points. Even the 360 version is no slouch at #35, loosing only to titans like Fight Night 4 and Pokemon Platinum.

I never expected this. I mean, I simply wished it sells okay so we have a good community. But it seems sales are more like "massive". Soooo curious about the NPD data or official work from AkSys. :D

That would be awesome, awesome news if it actually made top 10. Capcom and SNK may be considered the fighting genre titans but I always thought ASW deserve as much if not more recognition. Here's hoping this game makes it into the hands of as many people as possible.

I looked at [that banned sales figures site] (yeah I know not reputable at all :lol) a couple months ago and most GG titles didn't even come close to cracking 500k. I don't expect the real outcome to be that much better. :(

I have some questions about the Preorder and Release date. Is it still possible to preorder the game and get the rad bonuses? I just found out about those today. I have gamestops and best buys available to me. Also is the release date still looking like tomorrow? The Best Buy is looking like a bad choice if it is comming out July 2nd or later.

I think all you'll find for the first month is the LE, but the artbook from Gamestop you probably have a very small chance of getting.

Nope, artbook preorder bonus is over.
But the complete 1st run will be the limited edition with the soundtrack and bonus DVD/BluRay, so you're still god in that regard.

Oh so I don't need to preorder anything? Just pick go pick it up day 1 or so and all the boxes will be the big boxes with the extras? That is a nice system if true.

Yeah, they're not even making a regular edition available until all the LEs are gone. (First shipment should be pretty huge, I hope!)

American edition seems to be either out-of-stock (VGP), not shipping to Europe (YesAsia) or very expensive to ship (Amazon).

Does the Japanese edition have English menus ? And is it region-free online ?

The content on the disc is actually the exact same. If you plop in a Japanese disc onto an American console, it'll actually load up the NA version of the game. So English menus, dual-audio, etc. Seems to be cross-regional online as well.

It won't be top 10.. Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Also order qty's are always smaller at retailers on products from a smaller publisher. (ie: Aksys). Thats why you are seeing initial "out of stocks" in some places.

Oh yeah and I picked this up today. Played for a bit earlier. Seems really fun although I still don't get most of the systems. Really having fun playing Litchi and Noel so far, although Noel seems a lot easier to pick up. Bang is also fuck awesome.

Sorry, but neither gamestop nor amazon have those ranked above BlazBlue. UFC had exactly one week where it was above BB on gamestop.
FightNight never went high on gamestop, only on amazon.
Yeah, when you are waiting you do odd stuff.

Oh, may I also point at #1 PS3 game and #1 PS3 message board at GameFaqs? Sure, it's only GFs but just to put the buzz into relation.

Okay, WiiFit, WiiPlay, Ghostbusters, Prottype and Mariokart are surely the top 5 but that means there are 5 more open slots :D

I also didn't get the 3-Day upgrade that many people seemed to with Free Shipping.

I mean, if it comes down to it, I can always return the game to a Brick and Mortar Gamestop and make an Amazon purchase. Since Amazon doesn't have a pre-order bonus and they're not going to run out of the first run LE, there's no real risk involved.

I'm not sure. I wouldn't think so, but I have free shipping with the SAVER coupon. They certainly refund tax, though.

Pfft. The Valkyria Art Book was expensive on ebay when I checked for it. I doubt this will come any cheaper. Since this art book is online only I can't beg my friend whose Gamestop got more Art Books than they got purchases for one :(

You can't guess sales-age based on Amazon and GameStop.com. They aren't representative of the market as a whole by any means. Especially since GameStop.com has that artbook, lots of people are choosing to get the game from there rather than in-store.

And there's no way in hell that BlazBlue outsells Fight Night. Not a chance.
