fighting games are a genre I ignore, along with sports games; I just don't play them. My GF told me yesterday that she's interested in BlazBlue though, and I'm always on the lookout for games I can play with her. So now I'm thinking of picking up the 360 version, and am looking for some cheap/newbie arcade sticks, that aren't going to break after a week. any suggestions?

Gamestop's being a dick and servicing people who paid for faster shipping rather than those who pre-ordered earlier? :( Fuck you Gamestop.

Talking a little bit about gameplay, I have some execution problems with Astrals (supers), specially with the ones that are qcf>qcf+something. I can do them like 50% of the time, which is very weird since I've been playing fighters all my life and this motion is second nature to almost everybody. I can perfectly do regular motions, combos, instant air dashes, etc....99% of the time, but somehow the supers are really a pain in the ass to perform. Maybe I'm just getting old or something.

Nope, I pre-ordered in April and paid for overnight shipping, and mine says backordered for both, yet they charged my card last week.

So, now that the game is in people's hands, can someone confirm if you can mute the talking? Thats really the only thing holding me back from getting this game, which ill probably still get anyway just to have if anything.

Just checked and both of mine say the same thing. :( Like some of you, I also paid for overnight shipping and they've already charged my debit card, which tells me that Mysterious Dustloop Person is probably right. I've never known GS to charge me for something without it being shipped.

If they prove me wrong, though, I'm gonna be so pissed

I'm on the fence about this game (haven't preordered).. But I have a long history with GS. I wouldn't worry about the "backorder" status. Its standard protocol. I noticed they started to list "shipping" products as "backorder"back in 08'. I even called them up a few times. Sure enough, my products were shipped and delivered on time.

Yeah, tommorow was the official ship date. So I was expecting that most GameStop stores would get this on Wednesday. It's not very often that a game ships a day earlier...

Yeah, when I called them, they say a majority of the times, all orders will show as Backordered but it doesn't mean that it is backordered, they say if it was really backordered, then you will get an e-mail saying so.

So no worries to those who preordered the game in advance, you should get BB + Artbook this week

We'll it does look like Gamestops are shipping out today, not everyone will be able to pick it up tomorrow but im sure alot of people will this happens often with new releases.

I walked into gamestop on a whim and paid for the game in full with credit. The guy said the initial shipment is all Limited Editions and they would get them from UPS by noon tomorrow and I can just walk in and pick it up. There ya go.

I have it preordered on 360, but I might switch it to ps3. I don't have XBL Gold atm (and don't feel like paying for it), so ps3 might be better if the netcode holds up.

Uh-oh, my Gamestop order for the PS3 version says "backordered" and hasn't been processed. Cancellation time.

Now the question is, try in-store or just use (late-ass) Amazon?
