I suck so much ass at this game right now, but it's so fucking fun, I'm trying to main litchi, but shits kinda difficult. Started off maining Noel, but I hear she is over used online. Anybody know some good Litchi vids to draw inspiration/techniques from?

Doesn't mean that most people probably wouldn't have a much easier time mastering Arakune or Nu. Or at least would probably more successful with those characters.

The appeal to learning someone like Carl is that he's the least played character, so taking the time to get good with him means a lot of people will struggle against him since they don't know how to properly fight him.

The clap trap helps too, though. :p

When I fight Nu, Arakune, or Rachel as Tager(or hell...a lot of matchups with him), it constantly feels like an uphill battle. Coming out victorious in those instances is part of the character's appeal to me.

The shitty thing for me as Rachel right now, is that she tends to be strong against Nu/Arakune, but most of those players use the cheap tactics that are way too hard for a noob like me to avoid.

Any Rachel players out there? I need some tips. Especially when I'm on the defensive, I never know how to punish my enemies at all, even though I can block almost everything that comes at me.

Why did the Rachel section on the Blu-Ray have to be the worst one on the disc? :(

The character concept is interesting? That's why a lot of people play the oddball characters in fighting games.

Exactly why I'm playing Rachel.

I much rather play an interesting character that I like, than a character I don't just because they're "top tier".

Anyways, I'm learning one thing very important with Rachel I think. Use her cannon/lighting-tower (QCF A/B/C) defensively, and use her QCB B + Wind to start off attacks. Helps a lot. I may not be winning, but I'm actually managing to bring some level 30 50% win ratios to a sliver of health. Sadly, I seem to suck against bad players who spam and put me up against the wall. :lol

Oh, and as for Rachel's counter...I'm guessing it's Ragna. He's a bitch to play against.

This is exactly why I stick to playing fighting games casually with friends. There's no fun in sticking to top tier characters and ignoring the rest. You tend to miss out on the variety in the game and focus only on winning.

I really don't understand why you're finding this surprising. We've known about the game's low shipment total for like, weeks.

Havent seen many Jin online or Ragna for that matter.

Finally learned about:

Revolver Action is a combo system that allows you to chain a series of normal attacks together. It involves you cancelling the animation of a normal move into another normal so that the hits come out in rapid succession. The order you can chain moves together goes in the following:
Weak Attack -> Medium Attack -> Heavy Attack

While you are doing revolver action, you can link any kind of move: standing, crouching, or directional moves that require you to hold a particular direction on the controller. You do not have to start with the weak attack that you may start with medium or heavy attack. However, you cannot ever go backwards in the sequence in general. Revolver Action route is different depending on the characters. Learn more about them in character section.

Probably going to check out the DVD in abit and see if that helps as well. Gotta learn how to play as Bang if only for the simple fact that A.) He's a Ninja, and B.) Reminds me of Viewtiful Joe.

You can play low tiers and still try play online. That's what I do. I even win sometimes.

Well im starting to pick up when to block and when to rush in with Ragna. Just finished fighting a annoying Rachel in ranked. Kept throwing lightening rods all over. Beat her, but it was close.

It wasn't a terribly rated Rachel was it? I gave a high level Ragna a run for his money a few matches ago. :lol

It's still super sad that I have 30 matches under my belt and am still level 3. I don't care, I'm not giving up Rachel! I'm so close! :D

It's funny how I don't mind losing in this game. It's totally different than SF IV. I feel like I can do something of worth against even much better players than myself. If I feel like I played well, and am improving, that's all I need.

I'm also around 15 player matches from the 150 achievement, which is the last one I need for the full BlazBlue 1000. I have clearly been playing way too much. :lol
